Hello, and welcome to my grand remake of Doodle Jump! This project has been in development since March 2020 (over 3 years!!) Please take the time to read all of the instructions as they contain a lot of useful information. (READ DOWN) This game is VERY resource intensive and is likely to run terribly on scratch. I HIGHLY recommend using the TurboWarp version: [link], which also includes extra benefits such as interpolation and high-quality text. (Don’t forget, if you like the project, to come back to the scratch version to love and favourite it!) Due to the complexity of the project, there are many thousands of assets, which for a lot of people will take a looooong time to load. For a quicker load time and better performance, try the lite version: [link] IMPORTANT: If you see any missing costumes (a black question mark on a grey background), I’m sorry but that means scratch didn’t load the project properly and you’re going to have to reload until there are no missing costumes. This game will take a long time to complete, especially if you want to unlock all the themes. It’s not really a once-off play, although, of course, you can play it only once if you want to. There are 9 themes available to unlock, as well as 34 achievements, many costumes, helicopter hats, jetpacks, and of course the global leader board. I highly recommend you use the save and load system (found in the achievements screen). If it’s your first time playing the game, I recommend you try out the tutorial. It will tell you everything you need to know. There are also a lot of helpful tips in the information tab, so go check that out too.
There are in-game credits found in the information screen, look at it to see all the people who helped me along the way. Most scratch projects credit mostly themselves here, so instead of doing that, I’m only going to list a few special people who helped me: @xshrunk (Chief bug fixer) @nodexninja (Juinor bug fixer) @iangecko (Base64 encoder god) Don’t worry, I credit myself plenty in the in-game credits :D Now..I’m going to be honest, I don’t really like the remix culture that I see on scratch these days. It seems to me that a lot of people remix projects just to be the first remix, to get views on their remix even though they change nothing, or completely replace the remix to have nothing to do with the original. Please, I’m asking of you to not remix this project unless you make real changes to it. If you want to get popular, spend time getting good ideas, practice your coding, and release your own good projects. Please don’t remix this project unless you change multiple blocks and add costumes etc. Don’t just change 1 thing, maybe remix this as a “hacked” version with infinite money, immortality, etc. Lots of fun changes makes for a better remix. Just keep this in mind. If you do remix and don’t change much, I will most likely ask you about it. While I’m talking about popularity, please DO NOT advertise ANYONE’S projects in the comments. Advertising will be deleted. If you see any advertising, please report it. I'll do my best to respond to comments I feel deserve a response.
