THANK YOU, AND GOOD NIGHT. - sparkie pls spam the flag lol flansy being edgy i guess i really like this for some reason, I'm proud of how it turned out so far yeah so, quick context/explaination of what's going on: This is based in the oddling universe, where occasionally, but very rarely, a strange, humanoid (usually, my oc gilbert is an exception to that rule) being, called an "oddling" is born to otherwise normal human parents. These beings are feared and shunned and are often sent to "oddling communities", which are actually rather positive environments for them to grow up within. Now that the setting is kinda set in stone, let's get into the johns' stories. Both had a relatively normal childhood; some families don't really care about the oddness of their children. They met in high school in Lincoln, Massachusetts, (just like they did in our universe, most things happen as they did here) and quickly became friends, but left for college and eventually lost contact with each other. John L. decides to move to Brooklyn and finds out that his childhood friend had moved there as well. A happy reunion ensues and they start their musical journey together. When the main stuff happens, the entirety of NY is under the attack of an oddling hate group hoping to seize control of the state out of revenge for the awful treatment they've received for centuries. The Johns are caught in the crossfire and have to escape, and fast, because something's coming for them. They befriend the Hotel Detective and bring her along for their misadventures. Lots of wacky stuff happens. This pmv goes over John F.'s feelings during the whole ordeal, but I tried mainly to focus on his and John L.'s relationship. I hope you enjoyed it! I worked hard to overcome my artist's block to do this! oh yeah, I have to include their most visible quirks/"oddities": John F.: cat-like ears, his left hand is a clawed paw (he can still play guitar dw), he has super sensitive hearing and is actually physically hurt by loud noises. He also sleeps a lot. (this man is obsessed with cats so I made his oddling form more catlike) John L.: Now this is where it gets strange. Partly robotic but strangely water-resistant, John L. is a quilt of different mechanical and organic parts. His greatest weakness: his heart is protected only by a glass case; if he breaks it, he will die. He also has a fang, because of course.
