I was kidnapped, trapped /somewhere/ for over a week, by /someone/ I could never manage to figure out the identity of. I finally managed to escape, but our friends, Lawrence and Eleanor, are still in there, and I fear for them. We have to save them. I did try to listen in on my captors as much as I could - and though they didn’t let too much slip, I did overhear one conversation, towards the end. I was weak, hungry, sleep-deprived - so I am not sure how reliable my memory is, but they were talking about somebody. Somebody important, more so than them. A funder, I think they heard them say. They also said the letters AMW… though I don’t know what it means, if it’s something in code or someone’s initials or something else entirely. The other investigators, they told me they had been threatened, someone had been trying to scare them off the investigation. And while I was locked in that dreadful place, with far too much time to myself, I made something. A watch, matching a watch I left with the others. Perhaps with this we can finally get the upper hand over the mysterious captor…” He hands you the watch, and you examine it. It is a small thing, but intricate. It is only after he’s already left that you realise the strange symbols around the edge of the face are /figures/. Dancing figures?
