Moongaze felt her heartbeat quicken as she ran through the silent forest. Dead leaves crunched under her paws as she searched for a place to hide. She looked to her left and saw a flash or dark red fur in the bushes next to her; she had to keep moving. Suddenly she came to a stop. A large fallen log blocked her path. She looked around for a way to escape but all she could see were the tall, twisted trees surrounded by a dense fog. /SNAP/ She spun around and saw a tall red cat with a cruel smile. Moongaze gasped as she awoke from her nightmare. She was back in the ValleyClan medicine den. The den was made of smooth grey stone and there where several nests of moss scattered throughout. Near the back of the den there was a large rock with an assortment of herbs balanced on top, and in a nest quite close to her was her apprentice, Aspenpaw. Moongaze sighed, /It was just a dream... just a dream.../ but was it a dream? Or an omen? Perhaps ValleyClan's ancestors in StarClan were trying to warn her of something...
