Current Day Era prompt links: https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/topic/619977/?page=1#post-6479664 / https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/716394528/ ~ Please READ THROUGH THE ENTIRE DESCRIPTION before you begin. If you have any questions or feedback regarding this weekly, please redirect them to a daily team member’s profile. Daily Team is NOT RESPONSIBLE for lost progress due to not reading the whole description. ~ Welcome, one and all, to the SWC Eras Tour! This project weekly is half word crawl, half prompt collection, and we hope it’ll inspire you to try new things within your writing. It’s up to you whether you want to write separate little pieces for all of this weekly, or try continuing a longer piece of work! If this project won’t load on your device, contact a daily team member and we will provide a text-based version. If possible, please try multiple devices before resorting to the text-based version. ~ How to play: After starting the project and reading through the introduction and instructions, you will find yourself staring at the dashboard of your time machine. There are five buttons; each one will take you to a different era in the Galaxswc’s history. You can visit them in any order you like - with the exception of The End, which you can only access after touring the rest of the eras. Clicking on one of the era-travel buttons will lead you to a lyric prompt for the song you’ll write throughout this weekly, and then to the actual era itself. After you’ve read the description, you’ll move onto a slide with three prompt buttons. At this point, you must choose ONE of the prompts, and complete it! Clicking the prompt button will take you back to the time machine dashboard, so be careful to only click it once you’re done. (Don’t worry; if you do so accidentally, you can always click ‘see inside’ and double-check if you’ve forgotten the prompt you chose already!) You’ll simply repeat this pattern until you reach The End. ;) Make sure your audio is turned up for this part! Remember to save regularly! Speaking of saving... ~ How to save (desktop and mobile): At any point you can click the ‘progress’ button at the top left of the screen. This will take you to the progress bar. From there, click the save button in the bottom right corner to save your progress. A variable will pop up on the screen with your save code. Triple click the numbers in the orange box to select the ENTIRE code, copy it, and paste it into a safe location. If you’re on mobile, you may need to press ‘see inside’, double tap on the save code, and select ALL of it in order to copy the code. Make sure to save your progress periodically, as lost progress is very frustrating! Due to large amounts of code in the project, your computer may automatically reload the screen, so saving is a good idea even if it’s not necessary to save at the moment. If you want to keep track of your save codes, create a post in this forum and update it! Forum link: ~ How to load: If you have your progress saved and are returning to this project, you can load your game! Upon clicking the green flag, click the load button. This will open up a text box, which will ask you for your save code. Take the entirety of the save code that you previously copied into a secure location, and paste it back into the text box. Good luck on your continued adventure! ~ How to submit: At the very end, once you have completed your song, 5 of your chosen prompts and watched the closing credits in full, you will receive a certificate with all the prompts you chose and a submission code. You must submit this code (and a screenshot of your certificate if possible) as well as proof of your writing in the main cabin to earn 3000 points. This weekly is due at 11:59pm UTC on the 30th July. You have the whole week— don’t stress and don’t rush! ~ Credits: -Alocasia -redredrobin- Polarbear_17 mossflower29 essayist A more detailed end credits will scroll in the project on completion.
