i'll try putting a backstory ------------------------ Saya'd always wanted to be special, but specialty comes at a price. So of course, following this want--this need--of hers, the day the Lady told her to journey to the top of the volcano, she listened. She didn't know why, of course, but if the Lady tells you to do something, it is what you do. It's something even more imprinted in her. It takes a while, but she finally manages to climb to the top of the smoking hill, and gazes down into the burbling orange lava in the crater, just barely visible. She still isn't sure what the Lady wants her to do up here, but then she hears a voice beside her. "Who are you? They sent you?" She turns and finds herself staring right into the face of herself. "Who are you!" she cries, backing away in shock and almost falling into the volcano. "The spirit of the volcano," the doppelgänger murmurs sadly, looking at her feet. "For many years, your people have tried to satiate the volcano--but I need more than sacrifices." She looks up, orange eyes glowing like the magma beneath. "I need a host." Saya wants to back away; to cower, but she doesn't. Instead, she closes her eyes. *I've always wanted to be special,* she thinks to herself as the spirit of the volcano smashes into her with a primal cry of glee. Pain erupts through her body, and two large, dark wings burst out of her. With a gasp of shock, Saya finds herself flapping by instinct, soaring high above the former volcano. Bright orange flowers--tulips, funnily enough--sprout from her body, covering her eye, her tail-- "Finally!" The volcano spirit forces words out of Saya's mouth as they wing their way across the sky. "Free!" -----------------------------
