There's a famous Math Conjecture going around that goes as said below: If the number is Odd, multiply it by 3 and then add 1 (3x + 1) - This makes the Odd number Even If the number is Even, divide it by 2 (x / 2) The funny thing is this: there never seems to be a Positive Integer where the Conjecture ends with 0. So therefore: there seems to be no solution. Even so, I decided to create a program that could run the Conjecture and tell you what it finds. Greatest spike in value, amount of Even and Odd numbers, etc. Project is self explanatory; just click the green flag and enter which number you want to test. Please Note : It only works correctly with Positive Whole Numbers (for example 5, 19, 27, 689...) and not numbers with decimals or Negative values. I hope you have as much fun as I did making this :)
Worked on for - 5 or 6 days Code completely by me :) Feel free to use: give credit though oh yay school started back up Update Log : v1 : Aug 11, 2023 (Posted) v1.1 : Aug 17, 2023 (Fixed an Infinity Issue) v1.2 : Aug 18, 2023 (Added a random number generator) v1.2.1 : Aug 21, 2023 (Fixed a slight bug where the lists wouldn't show) v1.2.2 : Sept 18, 2023 (I reduced the amount of times the 4, 2, 1 loop runs.) v1.3 : Dec 15, 2023 (I added a graph of sorts that will map out the trajectory the numbers take. It's a buggy system, numbers that are too large just go out of the project.) v1.3.1 : July 14, 2024 (I am working on fixing the graph. It might look a bit off for a while.) --The Sillies Section.
