Welcome to Wordle: Scratch Edition! The aim of Wordle is to find out what the mystery word is by guessing other words. Start by guessing any 5-letter word. If you want to change your guess before submitting, click the backspace button on the virtual keyboard. When you are ready to confirm your guess, press the enter button on the screen. The program will then interpret your word, assigning colors to letters based on where the letters are in the word. Green means that the letter is in the word and in the correct place. Yellow means the letter is in the word but in the wrong place. Gray means that the letter is not in the word at all. Have fun, and happy Wordling!
This is a replica of Wordle, a word game created by Josh Wardle that was made available to the public in October of 2021. All code in this project was scripted by me. Aside from the Scratch logo on the thumbnail, all graphics were designed by me in Google Slides. I used the word list from https://eslforums.com/5-letter-words/, which may be missing some words. I tried to put in all the most common ones that the list missed, but there may be a few words not in the game. If that is the case, feel free to comment the word that is missing, and I will add it in at my earliest convenience.
