The problem is that it doesn't work well. As it ruins Ursula's character and it doesn't give Ariel a reason to give away her voice. The original voice actor did better than the remake as she said most of her lines perfectly, while and I sorry to the remake Ursula actor but made Ursula more of a snarky villain more than a manipulator. I know this is a bit late but, Disney is draining the life out of old movies and making some dull remakes. Worst of all is that Snow White is getting the remake business.
