Most asked questions since my previous "chop" recipe are most likely, a more thorough detailed one, and picky eaters. Waffle came on a all-seed diet, and refused point blank to eat anything except seeds. I tried for many weeks to try feeding her pellets, or veggies, but she didn't each them. Now she love them :) . OUR CHOP RECIPE INGREDIENTS: - at least 3 veggies of your choice. (Ours are: Broccoli, Bell peppers, peppers and sprouts (potatos*) - potato! potatos or sweet potatos are key in making your bird eat the chop. Try feeding your bird warm potato or sweet potatos! - Pellets/Seeds, I use both, using a coffee grinder i grind them to powder, so you can mix it in to add flavoring. Oats work great as well. Make sure to grind finely so your bird cannot pick them out. Seeds: Chia, Flax and hemp Pellets: Roudybush, Pstticatch, TOPs . Tips: - Try grinding the veggies finely, so its better for small beaks. - Add some seeds and pellets grinded finely to absorb moisture. . Main reason your bird will not each chop is because they don't like the taste/texture. Its key to find at least 1 or 2 veggies your bird likes best. I would recommend trying broccoli, cauliflower or kale/potato. Once you know a few veggies your bird likes, or at least eats, blend into chop with added pellets and seeds. . Ill be happy to answer questions in the comments :)
