TW: Implied death. -+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+- "Oh, Spider, Spider, Spider...what ever am I going to do with you?" He shrank back, shocked and terrified as Mara stepped out of the shadows of the cave, a menacing look in her eyes. "M-Mara!" he stuttered. "Stop right there, I--" "You what?" she growled, thrusting her face right up to his. She sneered at him when he swallowed, nervous. "That's what I thought." "You know what I do to tattle-tales, Spider?" she asked calmly, raising her left paw, which Spider now realized was marked with the sign of the Thorion Rebels. She bared her teeth. "I. Get. Rid. Of. Them." "You can't!" he gasped, stepping back and raising his paw slightly upwards to get her to back off in case she came forward again. "Benicia will know--" "Will she?" Mara demanded. "Or maybe she'll never find you. Maybe she'll think you ran away out of shame for your failed prank. Or something horrible happened to you in general. Hehe...I know how to do it all. This isn't the first time, after all." The cold words dangled in the damp air, daring Spider to twist them into an idea. Reluctantly, he did. "You...you k!lled Beetle, didn't you?" he asked, his voice hoarse. He started to tremble. "But--how could you?--he never did anything...." "He figured out who I was. That's what he did," Mara huffed. "And loose ends...Spider...they must always be tied." Then she lunged. Spider ducked, but she seemed to be aiming above his head. He watched as she reached up, slashing at a loose rock, holding many more above them. "Mara, no!" he screamed, scrambling back as the rocks started to tumble. He caught a glimpse of her mocking amber eyes, right before he was pinned by the rocks, his vision going dark...possibly forever.... -+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-
