When the one thing that would change my life forever happened. I was reading Romeo And Juliet , and had just reached the part were the two lovers first met when I heard a bird cry. It was sounded too loud to be a robin or a blue jay, which we have a lot of by my house. The bird cried again. I looked from my book and soaring at me was a Barn owl! I screamed! Owl's don't just usually flew toward people, right? I ran backward into a wall and fell. The owl flew right up to my face, dropped something in my lap, and then flew off. "Hermione, I heard someone scream, was it you?" my mom said from the front door. I nodded slowly. My mom walked over to me and grabbed the letter in my lap. "What in the world is Hogwarts?" she said and turned the envolope over in her hands. Hogwarts what does that mean, and why did they send me a letter?
