Blazze and Balloon trotted forward, going on a walk together. They ended up flying at top speed when she saw something in the distance. Blazze skidded to a halt and stared in horror as a group, even bigger than Cloud herd, emerged slowly up into the clouds. Balloon made a small tornado in between them and kept it contained where it was as a protection from the huge herd. Balloon had studied tornadoes so much that she can control them and create them by just moving her wing tips. Star had planned to hold a ceremony renaming her Tornado on the new moon, or the next day, but it looked like they’d be busy. “You stay here,” Blazze commanded. “I’ll get help.” [[15 minutes later, Star’s view]] The whole of Cloud came rushing forward after Star. “Balloon!” she called. “Use a tornado to wipe out some so that we’re not outnumbered; after I talk to them!” she added as Balloon started creating a huge tornado. “Ok,” said Balloon, removing the tornado. Star trotted forward. “We are here to take over!” called one pegasus before she could say anything. A tornado was on top of them almost instantly; and then the war was going on. She leaped to the side as a pegasus charged and bucked another pegasus off of Soarin, sending him flying. She felt a pegasus fling himself onto his back and reared up, throwing him off. Imagine was battling what looked like the biggest pegasus there. A tornado raked through the enemy line and Star told everyone to back off so that Balloon could get more enemies without fear of hurting one of the Cloud herd members. “Retreat!” shrieked the leader. “Do I let them go?” asked Balloon, halting her tornado. “Yes.” “Ok.” Balloon’s tornado was gone. Star turned and looked around. Even though the battle was short, the horses and pegasi of Cloud were all hurt. Star gasped as she heard one Forest-Fire/Cloud horse speak; but not that he spoke, what he said: “Sprink!” he spat. “Who are they to attack us!?” Star trotted up to him. “You’re right. They’re rock-brains to attack us like that, but we shouldn’t say bad words about it,” she said carefully and calmly. She whipped around when she heard someone cry out mournfully. “Aqua!” exclaimed Arch, rushing forward to a limp body. Star slowly walked over before pressing her ear against Aqua’s chest. “Arch…” “Aqua,” she interrupted, “what about our picnic we were going to go on tomorrow? W-what about th-th-the— Don’t leave!” Star turned her head slowly as Soarin came up behind her. “Arch, you can do this all day. He won’t get up.” Arch let out another exclamation. “Aqua!” Star sighed as Arch kept trying to bring him back to life. She put her head gently on Aqua’s head. “Best friends can never say good-bye,” murmured Soarin.
