Echo was in the Arullyi Kksindii now. [[Pronounced AH-UR-LEE KIH-SINDEE]] She saw Coin, Blaze, Feather, Midnigic, Midnight, Tiny, Skyfeather, Mountainheart, Bounce, Bubbles, Flire, Wing, and, yes, Cullorblynd. She heard a voice speak and spun around to see Luna. “Welcome, Echo,” said Luna. “There’s someone you need to see.” Starsky, Tigerpelt, Mousestar, Stone Statue, and even Aqua parted to show Echo a cream-ish stallion. Oh, oit, it’s Light Flame! He was accepted into the Arullyi Kksindii? Light Flame stepped forward. “We do not use that language in the Arullyi Kksindii.” Echo, startled, stepped back. “You mean oit?” she asked. “Yes, I mean that.” Light Flame chuckled. “I can tell you’re new.” “Okay…” Echo stammered. She just spun around and stared at the clouds below. “Can we visit dreams?” she muttered to Luna. “Yes,” she replied. “Good! I’ll talk to Soarin tonight.” [[That Night]] Echo trotted out of the Arullyi Kksindii, floating down to Soarin’s cloudplace. She halted in the hallway as she heard a soft snore. She turned and looked at Byrrd sleeping peacefully. “I’ll talk to you tomorrow, my great great great niece,” she muttered. She turned and continued on until she got to Soarin’s room. She stepped forward, resting her muzzle on his head like Luna instructed her to do. The whole world seemed to shatter around her as she entered his dream. She came up behind Soarin and spoke, startling him. “Hello, Soarin.” As Echo spoke, Soarin spun around. “Echo!” he cried out. He charged forward, skidding to a halt. “I thought you were dead!” “I am,” she chuckled. “I can visit your dreams whenever. Tomorrow I’ll do Byrrd.” “Okay. Is there something you need to tell me?” “No, Soarin. Slumber peacefully, for all will be well.” Echo vanished, leaving his dream. She had used her Arullyi-Kksindii-powers to tell when danger would come. She’d warn Byrrd of a future tornado in a few days. She had plenty of time until then; the tornado would come in more than a year. [[The Next Night]] Echo once again felt the world shatter before her as she entered Byrrd’s dream. “Echo!” exclaimed Byrrd happily. “Listen closely, this is important,” said Echo calmly yet seriously. “Yes?” she asked. “Swirling wind, one not controlled—one strong, one you cannot hold— is more dangerous than lava,” said Echo in a riddle. “What?” asked Byrrd. Echo chose then to leave Byrrd’s dream and go back to her new home.
