Echo watched Byrrd and River Rock play on the play-cloud. River Rock suddenly shouted something to Byrrd before leaping off and landing with a thump. “My turn!” exclaimed Byrrd before springing off of the swing. She spread her wings and tried to flap them as she realized she would hurt herself that high up. Echo gasped as Byrrd fell despite her flapping, and leaped forth, grabbing her and holding her in the air for a few seconds before lowering her slowly to the ground. Byrrd and River Rock both stared at her. “Thanks,” said Byrrd. Echo chuckled and smiled. “You’re welcome. Be more careful in the future, though; I’ll always be here to protect you, but nothing can stand in the way of your fun. This I promise!” [[That Night]] Echo started her journey down, but halted before she could go down too far because of a voice calling her back. “Echo, someone’s here that you should see,” called Luna’s voice. Echo turned and came back up. Luna stepped back to show Echo who died. Echo’s jaw fell limp and her mouth hung open in shock. “Prophecy!” exclaimed Echo. “When did you die?” “Around when you saved Byrrd. Luna told me about it. What’s it like in the Arullyi Kksindii, Echo?” “Every night I visit dreams. Tonight I’m doing Byrrd; want to join me this time?” To Echo’s dismay, Prophecy shook her head. “No, maybe tomorrow night.” “Tomorrow night I do Soarin,” replied Echo. “Oh, then next time you do Byrrd. I still need to get used to the Arullyi Kksindii.” “Ok, Prophecy. I’ll tell Byrrd.” [[In Byrrd’s Dream]] Echo came forward to see Byrrd in a clearing. “Hi!” called Echo cheerfully. Byrrd turned and trotted forward. “Hi!” she replied. “How’s the Arullyi Kksindii? Doin’ good?” “Good. Did you know that Echo’s up there now?” “In the Arullyi Kksindii?” “Yes.” “Oh, no!” “Never mind; how’s River Rock? Mates yet?” “We’re best friends,” retorted Byrrd. [[the next morning]] Prophecy knew almost nothing. Echo had to walk her through almost the entire Arullyi Kksindii, and kept on sighing when Prophecy asked a question that either Echo told her a million times, or that was obvious. Like, “How invisible are we?” and “When are we stopping for a bathroom break?” Echo sighed in annoyance. “Lets just go visit Soren,” she muttered.
