✧Albert Felixes Blake - Chapter 1: The House✧ That night was darker and colder than other normal days. Wind whistled and howled in wizards and witches' ears, as if warning them that danger was approaching. Three cloaked figures shuffled along the roads of Ottery St. Catchpole. One of the wizards was carrying a small bag in both his hands. Their cloaks were flying behind them, because of the strong wind that was blowing against them. Minutes later, they arrived at a house near Ottery St. Catchpole. The cloaked figures pulled back their hoods, revealing their faces. One of them asked softly, "Is this where Amos lives?" Her voice was soft and sweet. She looked pretty young, just with a few wrinkles on her face. She also wore thin looking spectacles. Her name was Minerva Mcgonagall. "I'm pretty sure this is Amos' house," another voice answered. He had a long, snowy white beard. He had wrinkles on his face and he seemed pretty old. His name was of course, Albus Dumbledore. Together, the three wizards and witches stared at the house and slowly walked towards it. The air became thinner and colder as they walked towards the house. Standing right in front of the house, Minerva Mcgonagall asked the other wizard, who was holding the small bag which seemed like was wrapping an object, "Are you sure about this, Edgar? You can leave him with Remus or even the Durselys." Then, she removed a cloth from the bag, revealing a baby. "Of course, Minerva. I trust Amos. I also trust Remus, of course, much more than Amos, but I'm a Slytherin. You know Remus, he's friends with Potter. If Potter visits Remus and sees Albert, he'll get angry. Also, right now James' son, Harry, is going to live with the Durselys. I don't want them to meet. If they are going to meet, I cannot stop that, but I can delay it. They can, well, meet at Hogwarts. I don't want those two to find out the history between me and James," the other wizard, named Edgar, explained. His dark brown hair was combed to the side. His voice was deep and fluent. The baby in his hands was called Albert. Albert had the same dark brown hair and brown eyes as his dad, Edgar. Mcgonagall sighed. "Minerva, if that's what Edgar wants, we should just let him. After all, that's his son. Albert has no mother any longer. Edgar's his only hope," Dumbledore told Mcgonagall calmly. Mcgonagall looked at Edgar. Edgar nodded as he whispered into Mcgonagall's ear, "Good luck." Then, Mcgonagall took a deep breath and transformed into a cat. Edgar put Albert on the cat carefully and stuck a note into Albert's clothes. Mcgonall walked towards the opened window of Amos' house and hopped into Amos' house. "I guess I should get going," Dumbledore smiled at Edgar. "It's late, I'm going back to Hogwarts. You should wait for Mcgonagall here. Good luck." Then, he left, leaving Edgar standing at the pavement of Ottery St. Catchpole, staring into the dark sky. Suddenly, the bushes a meter away from Amos' house rustled. Edgar frowned and thought, "It's late at night, why would anyone be here?" He turned and faced the bushes, wand in his hand. "Lumos!" he shouted. He pointed his wand to the bush, but it did not seem like anyone was there. He muttered under his breath, "Must be my imagination." Then, he turned back to Amos' house, still waiting for Mcgonagall. Seconds later, thunder rumbled, and rain began dripping from the sky. Just before Edgar could pull his cloak back on to prevent his hair from getting wet, a voice cried into the night sky, pointing his wand at Edgar. "Avada Kedavra!" In shock, Edgar turned, but it was too late, the green spell hit him squarely in his chest. All he saw was a black sheet of darkness. Suddenly, a cat jumped out of the window of Amos' house and transformed back into Mcgonagall. "Edgar!" she yelled, running towards him and did not care how many droplets of rain landed onto her. By the time Mcgonagall bent beside Edgar, her body was soaked in water. Edgar laid flat on the ground with his eyes opened in shock. His hands were spreaded out with his legs. "No, no, no. How can this be?" Mcgonagall whispered, tears falling down her face. She immediately carried Edgar to the nearest shelter and dried her tears. She was shivering- not due to the cold, but due to the shock she just received. She took a deep breath and calmed herself down. She immediately ran towards the bush, where she heard the sound of a male that shot the k!lling spell that hit Edgar a few moments ago. The more she thought about that scene that she saw from the window, the faster she walked. Taking a deep breath, she stood beside the bush. "You can't escape," she thought. The bush rustled once more, but the wizard knew that he couldn't escape now that Mcgonagall was an inch away from the bush. Suddenly, he was grabbed by the back of his cloak and he turned around slowly, facing Mcgonagall's furious face. Her eyes widened and she whispered, her voice quivering. "J-James?"
