✧Albert Felixes Blake - Chapter 4: The sorting hat✧ "That is Professor Dumbledore, the headmaster of Hogwarts," she pointed to Professor Dumbledore and smiled. Professor Dumbledore winked at the first years and told Professor Mcgonagall to continue with her words. "Now, I will go and take the sorting hat here. Please wait a moment," Professor Mcgonagall ordered. The great hall started to become noisier by minute, with students whispering and murmuring about which house they might get sorted into. "Isn't Pottah and his friends annoying? Like so annoying?" Draco sneered at Albert. Albert sighed, "I don't really know them, so I don't know. Oh, I don't know what his friends' names are. Do you know their names?" "How's that bothering you? The ugly red haired freckled face is named Ron Weasley, I can him Ron Weasel. The curly haired girl is bossy. Her name is Hermione Granger, she's a mudblood." Draco spat. "What's a mudblood?" Albert asked. "Mudbloods are filthy. Mudbloods mean that they are witches and wizards that are borned by muggle parents," Draco explained. Seeing the confused look on Albert's face, Draco rolled his eyes and muttered, "You don't understand a single thing, do you? Basically, a pure-blood, like me, has parents that are wizards and witches. A half-blood only has one wizarding parent. A mudblood has no wizarding parent. Those that are not wizards and witches, we call them muggles." Albert opened his mouth to reply, but was interrupted by a loud voice, "Now, now. The sorting hat is here! Please be quiet. This is a special hat that can sort you into the four houses, Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff and Slytherin. All you have to do, is just to sit here," Professor Mcgonagall instructed while she held a weird black hat and pointed towards a chair a meter away from the entrance of the great hall. After the sorting hat sung it's song, Professor Mcgonagall held a piece of paper and started reading out names. "Abbott, Hannah!" Professor Mcgonagall called. Hannah walked awkwardly and sat on the chair. "Hufflepuff!" the sorting hat yelled after it was placed on Hannah's head. After a few names, Professor Mcgonagall called, "Potter- Potter, Harry!" Everyone in the great hall gasped and started murmuring again, but this time, about Harry Potter. (Even the older witches and wizards) Eyes laid on Harry as he took a deep breath and sat on the chair. A few minutes later, the sorting hat finally yelled, "Gryffindor!" As Harry made his way to the Gryffindor table, everyone at the Gryffindor table, including Hermione, the cute girl, Ron, and many others cheered. "Malfoy, Draco!" Mcgonagall called. Before the hat even touched him, it yelled loudly, "SLYTHERIN!" Draco smirked and walked- ran towards the Slytherin table as everyone at the Slytherin table cheered noisily. Draco took a seat in the middle of Crabbe and Goyle. Now that Draco was sorted, Albert was the only one left. Albert was waiting anxiously as thousands of eyes laid on him. Professor Mcgonagall adjusted her spectacles and gasped, before stammering, "B-blake, A-Albert!" Professor Mcgonagall was staring at him, like as if she would punch him in the face. Albert looked at the grinning Dumbledore before he sat on the chair, bitting his lip. "Well, well, well. Your mind does lead you to courage and bravery, but how far does it go? Not that much. Not very smart either. Hmm... cunning... a liar... you could do great in Slytherin... but also in Hufflepuff. Loyal, yes... Kind, yes... Then, it is decided..." the sorting hat paused as it sat on Albert. "HUFFLEPUFF!" it roared. The Hufflepuff team roared with happiness. Albert grinned like a Cheshire cat and sat beside Cedric, who was clapping, and his face laid a smile that was so wide, it looked like it was about to break his face. He turned to Draco, who looked a little sad but was still clapping. He smiled a little when he caught Albert staring at him. Slowly, he turned to Professor Mcgonagall, who was still agape. Albert frowned and turned to Professor Dumbledore, but an eye caught him. It was glaring right through him. Harry's.
