Prologue: Hunter swung himself around in the saddle of his black horse. Thunder rolled through the land, and lightning flashed, but he didn’t pay attention to any of it. The wind messed with his hair, plastering it to his face, but it didn’t matter. He was focused on what was behind him. A spirit he could not control. This was not good. There was only one way to bring it under his control. Combat. And that’s what he did. Taking out his bow and arrow he aimed carefully. The spirit, knowing what was coming, tried to run away. But there was no escape from Hunter. He shot. And he met his target. But the cyclone was getting closer. Cursing, he urged his horse on. But it was too close. Suddenly, a flash of lightning hit and the cyclone diverted. “Idiot. Of course you focus on vanquishing evil and forget to save yourself,” a deep voice said behind him. Ryder.
