Clara walked briskly to Transfiguration, Ethan and Draco beside her. Those two hated each other, but seemed to agree on one thing. That Clara had to be protected at all times. Despite her protest. Since Clara's father had been dragged to Azkaban, the teachers had been fuming. But no one was angrier than Clara. She had no time to wallow in self-pity. Carter rarely left the Slytherin common room, Fennec hardly smiled anymore, and Lola was on the loose. The Headmaster had told the ministry that it would be best for the wellbeing of the students for the ministry to never again hold a trial in hogwarts, but Clara guessed that was Dumbeldore's way of saying 'buzz off'. She was brought back to the present by Draco and Ethan's argueing. "You think she'd date-" Draco huffed. "At least I'm not a stuck up Slytherin like you" Ethan said, angrily cutting him off. "Well she'd do much bettter with-" Draco snapped. "You have Harmony, you delusional prat!" Ethan retorted, as close to yelling as Clara had ever heard. "Not anymore-" Draco said angrily. Clara rounded on both of them, her glasses almost falling off her head. "Could you to at least pretend to tolerate each other?" She said sternly. "Honestly, Carter and Fennec behave better then you two and their first-years!". Draco rolled his eyes and Ethan made a sound like a scolded puppy as Clara stalked off to class. She dumped her things down, and Draco sat next to her, doing the same. "Draco, could you please be nice to Ethan?" Clara sighed, turning her quill into a lizard with ease. Draco caught his lizard before it crawled away, and frowned. "I could try?" He said, making it sound like a question. "He's just so..." Draco said trailing off. "He's sweet, that's what he is, so please make an effort Draco" Clara asked, starting to write a pargraph on the spell she used. Draco mumbled something unintelligable. "Do you think Lola will ever show her face again?" He asked after a moment of silence. Clara opened her mouth to answer, a boy with ruffled brown hair sauntered into the classroom. "Sorry I'm late professor" He smirked, seating himself next Draco and Clara, much to Draco's obvious displeasure. "What is a Gryffindor doing in this class?" Clara asked curiously. "You should be in Herbology".. "So i should, but I'm being forced to redo this class, a punishment from Umbridge along with this" The boy replied, holding up his hand to reveal red letters spelling out 'I shall not talk back'. "And my name's Axel by the way.". "I'm Clara, and this is Draco" Clara said, gesturing to Draco. "I've heard all about you" Axel said, winking. Clara scoffed, and opened her book. Her thoughts wandered back to Lola. She was a deatheater, and she was on the run. But did she even leave at all? They had no proof. Axel tapped her on the shoulder. "The death eater, she was friends with my sister". He said. Clara's mouth fell open in shock. "Your sister? Who's your sister?" Draco cut in. "Cleo Bombardo, Gryffindor head girl" Axel said rather proudly. Clara tucked her fist under her chin as she thought. Lola had always seemed to be alone in a crowded room, she never even spoke to anyone at school that wasn't a teacher or Clara. How was she friends with a head girl?! The coin in Clara's pocket burned as the bell sounded. Lola could wait, it was time for a DA meeting.
