heyo! so this art is made for the lore of a world im building for a book! i’ll be writing the lore down below: — This character is Cass, a 12 year old boy who lives in the world of [give me name ideas]. At age 8, he was infected with a rare disease called letalis flora (or the death flower.) ‘The first signs of this disease are shown when leaves start to protrude the skin through the veins. The disease slowly begins to progress as the leaves grow bigger and buds begin to form. This flower feeds on the blood of the host, and one can only know that the disease is fatal when a flower has bloomed. This flower shows that the disease has progressed to the final stages, and the host will now be running a high fever, and feel discomfort at the sites of the flowers. Now, all that can be done is hope that they go out with as little pain as possible.’ Cass seemed like he was going to die. He stopped breathing, a flower bloomed over his eye (that means that the disease has progressed to a fatal point) He went still… and sat up again. The marks of the disease still show on his body, such as the flower, leaves, etc, but he’s now in perfect condition. The medics who took care of him were confused by this anomaly, especially since he started to tell them about how he met Asteria (the god of their world) Cass feels like an outcast as 3 years later, he’s still treated as different by everyone and no one wants to even come near him in fear of contracting the disease. Then he meets Ivy and Mei, and they decide they’re going to help him find a cure…
