As Ivy walked to the Slytherin table, she felt like she was going crazy. Her vision was blurry, her head felt dizzy, and the clapping coming from the Slytherin table was muted and sounded like it was in the background. Ivy didn’t hate Slytherin for the house itself. A few months ago, Ivy had received her Hogwarts letter. She had been ecstatic, and had tan to tell her aunt. When she got to the living room, she stopped in her tracks. Her aunt was staring at nothing, lying on their couch. Her aunt was a prophet. Ivy knew all about the job, but she had never seen a prophecy get delivered before. She was confused as to what to do. “Aunt Adelaide?” Ivy had asked, carefully approaching her. “Are you okay?” Suddenly, her aunt grabbed her. Ivy gasped and let out a small squeak. Her aunt’s eyes were pitch black. She began to mutter incomprehensible sentences, confusing and scaring Ivy. “Aunt Adelaide!” Ivy shouted, trying to escape her iron grip. “Let me go!” However, Adelaide only just got louder and louder, eventually screaming the words. Ivy had no choice but to listen. “The snake will destroy everything! Everything! Do you understand, Ivy?” Ivy was frozen. She didn’t know what to do! Adelaide became even more wild. “Say you understand! Say it!” Ivy nodded, terrified out of her mind. “I understand! I understand!” Adelaide relaxed. “You must never join the snake. Everything we know will be gone.” So, when Ivy walked up to the Slytherin table, she collapsed.
