The 2K06 had top characteristics in all scout drones, with a speed of Mach 3.35 capable of losing most of any kind of fighter jets and breaking lock of SAM missiles. It also had a range of 5600 km with the service ceiling into the stratosphere. This allows good deep reconnaissance into enemy land without needing to defend against dangers or risk losing pilots. The drone can also be fast-deployed from a B-52 to allow launching near its flight ceiling. The D-21 do have some technical defects that can cause it to crash, but Armaland improved its engines from the 1970 version to a newer version allowing similar propulsion with less accident rate. All onboard electronics are modernized to allow better flight controls and failsafes preventing the aircraft from crashing once comms are lost.
