I recently got a new bookshelf as an attempt to finally have all my books in one place and not scattered all around my room, and I think it looks great, even though it can only fit half my books. I thought I'd make a tour of it for fun. 1. What it looks like from afar. It's 5'8", about my height. 2. The top shelf! I've got some miscellaneous trinkets and quite a few books stacked on top. You can have a look at the titles yourself -- my favourites here are the Children of Ragnarok and the red Lord of the Rings book -- it's a french 3-in-one! 3. The next shelf down contains only history, excluding what we have stacked on top. My favourite books here are Horrible Histories, the Beatles book on the top left and The Terror, although I think all books here are great. I've got some of my hand-sewed BBC Ghosts characters here, too, and a ship in a bottle LEGO set I got a while back. There are also a few shells I collected. 4. A close up of the LEGO set, because I love it so much 5. I hung my chewable necklace on the side of my shelf. It's the only one I have, and I'd like to get a new one sometime, perhaps in a brighter colour. This one's supposed to resemble a fish hook. 6. A real peacock feather. It's very shiny and glimmers in the morning, as I get the most sunlight in my room at that time of day. 7. LEGO Monkees I made at an ungodly hour in the morning 8. Gemstones! I don't collect crystals or do anything spiritual with them, I just think they look cool. We have, from left to right, and amethyst, a polished opal, and I believe some sort of quartz variant. 9. My bottom shelf, where I store my taller books, songbooks, and magazines. I had to put the Beatles book on display, because yes. I didn't take a photo of my third shelf, as I had picture frames of my family on it, but it's got my Riordan collection (all Percy Jackson books, all HoO, all of Magnus Chase, the first three ToAs, and the first KC book) from when I was in middle school.
