so recently i was scrolling through youtube shorts and i found a therian short that was asking people to explain why they hated therians,,and wow some of the answers were rlly umm,how do i say this,,wierd ig?so i wanted to cover a few things about being a therian and even a few things about being a furry,,again im pretty new to the therian community so if i get something wrong pls correct me!! 1: "whats are next generation" or "what has this generation become?" well first things first not everyone is just suddenly going to start being a therian,,because you literally can't,something haters rlly don't understand is that,and i can't say this more clearly,YOU CANNOT BECOME A THERIAN YOU ARE BORN AS A THERIAN!!! 2: related to the one above "It's just a phase" or "Let kids have fun" well these aren't exactly hate,,they're very hurtful and untrue,,first of all it rlly isn't just a phase and secondly being a therian isn't always fun,you don't just suddenly one day be like 'oh yay im going to run around like an animal and bark a bunch because it's so fun and i love it when people hate on me for yay!' so i get were your coming from,but pls do some research! 3: "It's against my religion" or "God made you a human just except it" this is something that rlly and i mean rlly annoys me,now ive seen that a lot of these people will also say they are homophobic as well,which is just aaa,i mean come on bro,seriously,have we as humans not evolved by now?What your are saying is literally, i hate you because you don't have the same religion as me,like what?!also saying god made you human except it is literally the same as saying so you feel extremely uncomfortable in your own body and you wish you were something else to the point were you feel like dy1ng sometimes,well why can't you just except that you'll never be an animal?the answer to this question is most literally because our brains can't except it and by the way we know very well that we'll never be animals. 4: "because it's weird" or "because im allowed an opinion" so im going to skip the first question for now and go straight to the second one,,yes you are allowed an opinion and im just pointing this out,,what your saying right now is that im going to use my opinion to bully/harass people who are minding their own business,hurting nobody and doing nothing wrong.no offense bro,but that kinda of comes out a bit wrong if you know what i mean,,the second one is an opinion and it comes of as if you were saying ex: oh look that person likes broccoli let's bully them because i think it's weird to like broccoli.ya that doesn't look very good does it? 5: "your not actually an animal" or "if you make therian content you're looking to get hated on so just deal with it or stop" we know we aren't animals (on a physical level) ,so pls,pls,pls stop saying that it's boring and most of all annoying (also not very creative).this is honestly one of the worst excuses to hate therians,when you say something like this you are justifying hate and hating at the same time,if you don't see something wrong with this on it's own i think you might need some grade one don't be bully education. 6: "we're trying to help you" or "i think you need help" NO you are not trying to help,because calling somebody,weird,fatherless,disgusting,mentally unstable and threatening someone doesn't in any way help someone,at all and if we think we need help we will ask fo it okay? 7: "i hate you because you think you can identify as a therian" or "you shouldn't choose your identity until your older" the first one i don't think i should even have to explain,but i will because clearly some people out there need it and yet again im going to do the thing thats what your implying which is that you don't believe someone can choose their identity,my question to you is "and you think you can choose for them then?" the second one is well,i mean yes and no,obviously someone shouldn't jump to conclusions,but that doesn't mean they can't identify as something and it isn't that bad if they get their identity wrong so i think what you and others are actually trying to say is i don't like it so stop,to which i say it's not a choice. 8: "it's messed up" or "stop pretending" and even "because you hate being a human" its not actually messed up tho cause if it was i think more people would know what a therian was don't you?WE ARENT PRETENDING YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT WHAT IT FEELS LIKE TO BE A THERIAN!not every therian hates being a human,but we do get very bad dysphoria about being one and sometimes it gets very mentally painful to deal with it.
