I just learned a really interesting thing about how the reason the cassette business has stayed alive from the early 2000s to the 2010s is because prisons had to have clear devices like clear cassette players to prevent hiding weapons. This actually kept the entire industry alive, and why there are so many clear devices, it's actually prison tech. It's pretty funny and reminds me of when minustwo went to prison. He was secretly working on nuclear fission, but the device wasn't clear (built out of the wrong type of plastic) which is why it was taken away. He was sent to double prison (In Jordan).
