I think StarClan probably controls the virtual world. Like they can update it and stuff. I say this because Gingkowing sending the omen was a lot like a virtual upload and download. The cat jpg in one of the backgrounds I think is completely irrelevant and is just a joke. However, that last scene is concerning where Hornetstar jumps off the tree. It is a bit confusing but what I get from it is that Hornetstar knows about the workings of StarClan, as she was not impressed by the miracle. She must have believed at the moonpool that Houndpaw convinced the speaker to help him. While she is a leader, her knowledge of this is mysterious. We can infer that she has some sort of intuition given to her by a glitch maybe. IDK how she knows, but how she got the knowledge may have to do with this theory. In fact, the moonpool is almost like a backdoor upload into star clan. Actually, pretty much everything StarClan does resembles a Moderator for a simulation.
