@KouNavi48 and I were coming up with an AU for Starkid Productions' 'Starship' where all of the bugs are birds and all of the humans are cats. Here are some of my concepts! Navi came up with Bug as a short-eared owl, since they can mimic sounds. Bugette is a Honeyguide because honeyguides are carnivorous nest parisites (also the name is cute). Pincer is a Griffon Vulture because vultures are carrion feeders. Roach is an Anna's Hummingbird because he is a small boi and Anna's Hummingbirds very commonly have pink and purple feathers. The mosquitos are Black-Thighed Falconets because they were the smallest carnivorous bird I could find. (SIDE NOTE: The Overqueen is an ostrich because they lay the most eggs, usually around fifty in a clutch.) STORY THINGS: -The hatchery would bring mammals in and force them to sit on the eggs, rather than implanting them. -Bugette just sits on the carnivorous eggs, and they hatch shortly before Junior shows up and Bugette gives her life to defend Bug, rather than right after Bugette is no longer living. -The job of the egg planters is now to either check up on the eggs, or place new ones in nests.
