Plaintext for easy accessibility: Hi, I’m Mia! - I’m 16 years old and identify as a lesbian. I’m also comfortable using any pronouns. - I have a lot of interests, including My Chemical Romance, anime (some of my favorites are My Hero Academia, Death Note and Jujutsu Kaisen), horror, and video games. I also enjoy cosplaying, dancing, and sewing. _______ My History with the Gaehive + Timezone: - I’ve been a part of the Gaehive since September 2020 on my previous account, @mimi_en_pointe367. - I’m in the Eastern Standard Time zone. _______ Availability and Schedule: - I’m usually active on weekdays for about 1-3 hours, mostly while working on homework. My typical availability is between 3-4 PM and 9-10 PM, but this can vary. - My schedule can be a bit unpredictable due to my commitments with my dance team. However, I’m happy to provide a more detailed, day-to-day schedule if needed. - On weekends, I tend to be offline but will occasionally pop in. However, my weekend availability is much more sporadic. _______ Why I’d Be a Good Manager: - I believe I would make a great manager because I’m quick to adapt to new rules and have a strong understanding of the Gaehive’s dos and don’ts. - I have experience managing groups, as I’m also a manager in the Owl Nest studio. This experience has taught me how to maintain a balance between enforcing rules and being approachable and helpful. - I’m also involved in my school’s GSA (Gay-Straight Alliance), where I’ve learned the importance of respecting boundaries and knowing when and where certain topics are appropriate. - I understand the need to maintain a respectful environment, both in the studio and within the Gaehive, which is something I take seriously. _______ Why I Might Not Be a Good Manager: - One downside is that I’m not very well-known among Gaehive members, and I can be forgetful at times. - I also occasionally experience periods of inactivity, particularly during weekends or major school breaks, which may affect my availability. _______ How I Can Improve the Gaehive: - Although the current managers are doing a fantastic job, I believe I could still contribute by helping reduce drama within the studio. Whether it’s resolving conflicts between members or preventing drama from spilling over from other studios, I’m happy to step in and help resolve issues. - I also want to help encourage more engaging conversations in the Discussion Studio by starting discussions on both current and future issues affecting the community. _______ Unique Ideas I Could Bring: 1. Movie Nights: - We could organize regular movie nights where members vote on an appropriate movie to watch. A designated time could be set up for each timezone, and we could watch together, either in a branch-off studio or the main studio. 2. Game Nights: - Similar to movie nights, game nights would allow us to open up times for playing specified online games and chatting about them. - I think this would be a fun, relaxed way to connect with other members. Games with unmoderated chats would be prohibited, but I would help ensure they’re appropriate and engaging. 3. HiveCon (A Cosplay/Fanart Event): - I have an idea for a virtual event called HiveCon, where we could cosplay together, showcase fan art, and chat about our favorite fandoms. Think of it like an online Comic-Con! This could be a fun event to bring the Gaehive closer and let everyone express their creativity and passion for the things they love. 4. Identity Spotlight/Education Hub: - I have an idea where members are encouraged to read an article, watch a video, or discuss specific identities spotlighted for that week/month. I believe it can help grow our studio to be more inclusive and educated on different identities that some people might not know much about. _______ What I Can Improve: - Support for New Members: I would like to help new members feel more welcome, assisting them with any questions they have about the Gaehive and how things work. - I want to encourage members to educate themselves on topics. Especially harmless identities. These discussions tend to arise around identities or experiences that are less well-known or misunderstood, leading to tension or even exclusion. _______ Conclusion: - This is the end of my manager application! Don't be afraid to ask questions on anything I mentioned, I am always happy to answer them! - Good luck to everyone applying!
Recommendations: - After going through the applications as of November 14 and seeing these people around the studio, I believe that the next few users are fit to be managers. 1. @GHPaneraBread - She is such a kind, funny and welcoming person. They always spread the best positivity everywhere and bring a smile to my face when I see them here. She always brings great things that have a positive impact on the studio. 2. @cryptic-signs - He has always been such an educated person, teaching many members and bringing awareness to identities that people are usually misinformed about. He has great ideas for the Hive that could really help improve so much. 3. @Homo-sec-shoe-whale - Moon has always been so helpful to me, even with the few interactions I've had with them. They have always been keen on building the community and bringing us together. I belive that their ideas can contribute so much to that.
