☆Hello; after a while I have finally completed part 3 of my DTA entry! This is the final part. ☆Part 3 of the backstory Before. She had been here before. She couldn't remember when and she had no time to try and think about it. Right now, she was in a strange forest and a random, possessed cat wanted to get her. Turning from the volcano, Charcoal rushed into the forest. This must be the way out. As she went further in, she slowed down more, but made sure to keep alert. A hiss came from behind her. Turning, Charcoal saw at least 10 cats forming a semi-circle behind her. Each one's eyes were glowing, and to make it worse, she recognised one cat. Her cream-coloured fur was unmistakable among the cats; she was the healer who had helped her as a kit. Now, her eyes were the same eerie orange as the cats around her. Suddenly, the grey cat stepped out from behind the others, this time saying nothing. Charcoal prepared to run, backing away slowly. She turned to run. She couldn't; something was stopping her. The same invisible force as before. She didn't bother to try and push it away like the last time. The grey cat began to walk towards her, not seeming violent, but strangely peaceful. Charcoal felt him next to her before a high-pitched noise filled her ears. She was watching a scene take place; in the middle of a clearing. The trees were tall, casting shadows over the cats gathered below them. ''What will we do about Alpine?'' One of them asked. ''I don't know; the way he changed so suddenly scares me. And his eyes. I've never seen anything like it,'' A dark-grey cat replied. Murmurs of agreement came from all of the cats. ''When did it happen?'' ''Only three days ago.'' Yet again, there was silence. ''I know why,'' A small voice said eventually. Each of the cats turned to face a ginger cat sat nervously in a corner. The dark-grey cat who seemed to be in charge of the meeting nodded and the ginger cat began to speak. ''He was recently at the volcano in the mountains. When Alder came back, he was fine for at least half of the day before he started acting strangely. A whole group of cats have acted like this too.'' ''So the volcano is doing this?'' Asked the leader. The ginger cat nodded. ''Is there more to it? Or do we not have a proper explanation?'' ''No; there is no more to say.'' ''Very well.'' As he said this, the vision gradually faded away. She was beneath the volcano again; this time the trees around her had leaves and were almost as tall as the volcano itself. There was green grass below her paws and leaves from the trees floated gently to the ground. A loud mew of joy made her look forwards. There was her mother, with a look of surprise and happiness on her face. ''How are you here?'' Charcoal asked in surprise and confusion. ''We have been here for years,'' Her mother replied in a calm tone. ''How? Is EVERYONE here?'' Her mother nodded and continued to talk. ''Its strange how you came here last. All of us went on a trip to the volcano to gather herbs and prey, when we awoke here. It was at least 2 years ago now.'' What? She was supposed to have been here for 2 years? If so, how was she here now? ''But how are we here and why?'' ''We still aren't sure, but some cats have theories. Something about the volcano's smoke and possession...all we know is we are safe here.'' Nodding, Charcoal realised that if this was their new home it was better than anything else that could have happened. Smiling, she followed her mother into the trees. ☆This is the last part of my project! I hope you enjoyed it and thank you for reading this!
