VocaLoid is a singing voice synthesizer software product. Backed by the Yamaha Corporation, it developed the software into the commercial product "VocaLoid" that was released in 2004. The software enables users to synthesize "singing" by typing in lyrics and notes and it uses synthesizing technology with specially recorded vocals of voice actors or singers. So basically, VocaLoid is an International Sythesizer with characters (91 to be exact) who can be bought but its not cheap. And UTAU is the same thing but free and you can make your own voicebank(voice for your character) And finally, FanLoids are fan-made VocaLoids who dont't have voice actors and use VocaLoids and Utaus with different pitches.
