Press the green flag to see step 1 and press the space bar to move onto the next step! Here are the instructions to go with the steps (in case you prefer words): 1. Draw an oval (you can use the circle tool) 2.Draw your first layer of triangles 3. Draw more triangles in between the first layer of triangles so there are no gaps 4. continue until you have filled the oval 5. draw small spike shapes inside the triangles (don't worry if they are messy, they just add to the texture) 6. Draw some leaves on the top of the pineapple (you can do however many you want, I have drawn a lot of leaves-maybe too many leaves actually) 7. Colour however you want, I chose soft tones of yellow, green and turquoise 8. Draw the outline for your shading on one of the leaves 9. Fill it in and repeat for all the leaves 10.Put a line of shading on the inside left side of all of the spikes 11. Put a line of shading on the left side of the larger triangle shapes 12. Put a line to show light on the right side of the larger triangles 13. Draw an outline of shading around the left side shape of the pineapple and fill it in 14. Draw 5 flowers of a petal (they have three bumps with a gap at the bottom) 15. Draw the shape that you see with three dots on either side at the top 16. Fill in the Hawaiian flower with a slightly lighter shade 17. Draw three white lines coming out from the bottom of each petal 18. Use the stamp tool (if you're on a drawing software) or draw the flowers again (if you are drawing in real life) to create a pattern of Hawaiian flowers around the pineapple 19. Use the stamp tool again (if you're on a drawing software) or draw the flowers again (if you're drawing in real life) but smaller than before to fill the gaps
I hope you enjoy my drawing tutorial! I know that some of you have been requesting Christmas tutorials (and this is totally the opposite) but I had the idea to draw a pineapple for you so I did! Also, I will try to make a Christmas themed drawing tutorial very soon for those festive ones among you! Leave your suggestions for a Christams drawing tutorial in the comments, I may use one of your ideas or one of my own! Feel free to leave a comment!
