~~~NOTICES~~~ If this project gets to 20 views, I will add sounds (if I can figure out how). For every 5 views after that, I will add a new location and another day. ~~~BACKSTORY~~~ You are a captain of a whale watching boat that specializes in seeing orcas. Your job is to take people on three-day cruises to see as many different ecotypes of orcas. ~~~INSTRUCTIONS~~~ To start, click the map icon or press the M key to open the map. Type in where you want to go (SEA, SJI, or JDF), and you will go to that area. Use the E key to exit. If the map icon disappears when you click on it, that means that you have already traveled to one region during that day. When you are at the area, you may or may not see orcas. You start in Seattle. You have three days to (hopefully) see all three ecotypes in this region. Please comment with any feedback, questions, ideas, or comments you have!
~~~NOTES~~~ The chance of seeing some orcas may be a bit skewed, because I just estimated and didn’t really look at data. Additionally, this is my first big project so PLEASE let me know if there are any glitches, or if you have any ideas to improve. Also, if you don’t understand what to do, read the instructions, and if you are still confused, put it down in the comments. Thanks!!! Each area has a three-letter abbreviation, so here is what the abbreviations stand for: SEA: Seattle SJI: San Juan Islands JDF: Strait of Juan de Fuca Eventually, I will add more specific orca types (e.g. Southern Residents, Northern Residents) and more places to see orcas, but I can’t do that right now so… yeah. Additionally, I plan on adding sound (different calls and stuff). ~~~CREDITS~~~ First, a huge thanks to my mom for helping me plan all of this out. The art I did entirely by myself. ~~~UPDATES~~~ 1.0- Normal game- orcas, moving from location to location. Locations: JDF, SJI, SEA. Orcas: Transients, Residents, Offshores 1.1- Added counter for all orcas, and each type of orca, the map now shows up even after you’ve moved (but you can’t move).
