Except that another Shade took the arrow instead. Cursing, Hunter aimed again. But this time Lucer knew exactly where it was coming from. And exchanged his own arrows. Losing his concentration on the spirits. Which Hunter disintegrated. No compensation for treachery. They exchanged arrows. Until both ran out of arrows. Lucer raised his hand, and Hunter, knowing what was coming, shielded themselves. The two armies stopped instantly. Freezing shadows. “Well Shade Prince? Come on out.”
