Jasper held out the potion in his hand and George sized up the child in front of him, the broken and battered boy who had gone through so much and yet still had a heart. “Drink this, and you’ll come back from the de@d.” George instantly reached out for the potion, but then hesitated. His thoughts conflicting with one another, would Jasper try to harm him or was he truly just trying to help. George took a deep breath to steady himself and then grabbed the potion from Jasper’s outstretched hand. “If I were to drink this, I wouldn’t d!e… correct?” George asked, his index and thumb hovering over the cap of the potion. “George just drink it.” George uncapped the potion and took a quick swig of the potion, a sour bile spread across his mouth quickly and George immediately recapped it, placing it back on the table. Jasper and his brother, Jerry, just took a step back and watched, awaiting to see if George would come back or if he would self combust. George felt the world start to spin slightly and he stumbled backwards ever so slightly, grasping onto the nearest object to him. “George…?” Jasper’s voice rang throughout George’s head as everything slowly went dark. /“George Field! Please step forward and be judged!” One of the three judges called, crossing a name off of his scroll. George hesitantly walked forward, he could practically feel the sword still plunged into his heart by his sister. “George Field it says here that you are a son of Hades and Angelina Field, is that correct?” The second judge questioned and George nodded hesitantly. A look of disdain flashed across the judge's face before he turned away from the cowering child in front of him. “It also says that you betrayed Camp Half-Blood and k!lled about 20 demigods and numerous monsters, is that correct,” The third judge asked but didn’t wait for an answer, “George Field we sentence you to forever wander around the fields of Asphodel forever at your siblings beckon call.” George’s hope immediately withered and d!ed in that moment and tears started to prlck the teen’s eyes. “Please, I’m begging you! Please don’t send me there!” George begged, the tears streaming down his face effectively washing away the ash, dirt, and bl00d that remained on his face from the battle. “Our decision has been made, just like yours was George Field. This is your eternal punishment.”/ “George?!” Jasper called out, snapping George out of whatever daze he was in. “What?” George breathed, looking down at his still transparent hands. The potion hadn’t worked after all… “How long was I out for?” George questioned looking at the J brothers and they both had a look of confusion on their faces. “You weren’t out at all, you just stumbled back and grabbed onto the chair and when I said your name you asked me what…. George what happened?” Jasper asked, stepping closer towards the ghost. “Nothing happened, how long is the potion supposed to take to start wo-” George abruptly stopped as he felt a stinging in his core, after a second that pain started to grow and eventually George felt as if he was on fire and was being skinned alive. ‘What is happening?!’ was all George could think of before he shut his eyes from the pain. After another moment of excruciating pain George peeked open an eye and glanced at his hand, tears immediately sprung into his eyes and he had trouble seeing the colour through the tears but his hand was no longer transparent. He was alive. “Gods I-I’m back!” George whispered excitedly as tears streamed down his cheeks, and George couldn’t have been more happy to actually feel the tears for the first time in years. George let out a little laugh that had made its way up his throat and ran his fingers through his beige hair. “I’m back!” George repeat louder and more excited, he had never thought that he’d actually be able to say those words after all he had done. After all he had done to his sister, to Jasper and Jerry, and to everyone else; George had betrayed and broken so many people and now those people were still helping him. One of them, the one he felt the most sorry for, had just brought him back from the de and George knew deep down that he would never be able to repay Jasper for his kindness. “Jasper, I… thank you so much for this, for everything. I have no clue as to how I’m going to be able to pay you back, I am forever in your debt.” George told the brunette, his pale blue eyes locking onto Jasper’s blue and green eyes. Jasper quickly looked away as he sat down from exhaustion, the moment George had taken a sip of the potion it had also taken a part of Jasper’s energy with it since he was the brewer of the potion. “It’s fine.” Jasper assured him, as he felt his brother rub comforting circles into his back. George shook his head but didn’t say anything in response. (+)
“You can go if you want…. But if you try to do something like when you were alive last time, I will send you back to the depths of Tartarus.” Jasper warned, accidentally reminding George of the painful time he had spent down there for months. George nodded and ran out of the Apollo cabin, and headed towards the Hades cabin, finally prepared to greet his siblings. George walked up to the door and just stared at it. George flexed his fingers once again, before summoning the courage to knock on the door to the place that he once upon called “home”. George raised his hand prepared to knock but then hesitated. He had only been back on this planet for less than an hour and he had no idea if his siblings would want to talk to him, he had betrayed them numerous times before and this time they could easily just get ride of him… send him back to forever floating aimlessly through the underworld, with no place to call home, awaiting for his half-siblings to drag him back into the overworld. “This was stupid, they don’t want to see me,” George muttered under his breath, “they’re just going to leave me again.” George shook his head, wiping away the small amount of tears that had begun to pile up. We both know that they won’t, just go in. It’s your home too, He thought. With one final glance over his shoulder he opened the door to the Hades cabin. He was greeted with the stony gazes of his siblings, after all that had happened to them they were nothing more than husks of the people they once were. Leon, George’s practically identical brother, was the first to notice George, and he quickly rose to his feet. “Excuse me, but who are you?! Why did you just burst into our cabin?!” He demanded quickly, he was always one to go quickly to defend. Leon stared at George with nothing in his eyes, no signs of recognition, he was just staring at a man who burst into his cabin and George felt his heart break a little. Leon had never met George before, he had always been a ghost to him, and this was how Leon, George’s little brother, met one of the infamous traitors of Camp Half-Blood. “Aww come on Leonardo, it’s me…” George smiled, completely masking the fact that he was in so much pain saying that. Leon hadn’t recognized his own brother and that cut him deeper than anything. A flicker of recognition flashed across Leon’s face and his eyes immediately glossed over. Grace slammed her book shut and jumped out of her bed and into George’s outstretched arms, clinging onto the body of the man she had k!lled, her brother who she had killed. “GEORGE!” She cried out, tears streaming down her face as she buried her head into George’s chest. George chuckled lightly and wrapped his arms around his first true family member, “Hi Gracelyn.” Grace responded with another sob and the two Hades kids just stood there hugging each other, the person they had only been able to see through a tinted glass until now, the person they hadn’t been able to hug in 5 years. The last time Grace had gotten a hug from her older brother was when she was 14 almost 15, and now Grace is 19 turning 20 in a matter of months. George finally broke down as he realized that he had been gone for that long, that long that he had missed all of his sister’s most important years of life, and George sobbed. Eventually the two Hades kids had managed to sink to the ground, their emotions too much to handle standing up, and they just sat there in a puddle of tears and sorrow. After a minute, Grace held her brother at an arm's length examining him for anything wrong. “How are you here?! You aren’t supposed to be here!” Grace questioned, tears of joy still streaming down her rosy cheeks. George gently wiped away a stray tear that had fallen to her chin. “It’s all thanks to your b0yfriend Gracie, Jasper brought me back. He spent countless hours creating this potion that could bring me back temporarily, and now I’m here. And I can hug you two again.” George explained, engulfing Leon into a hug. The small boy seemed to fit perfectly in George’s grasp and that only made him cry harder. After George had finished explaining the three Hades kids embraced once again, all of them just a mess of tears and happiness. Leon was over the moon to finally be able to meet George, finally able to see his older brother. George was overjoyed with the fact that he was no longer left to wander around the fields of Asphodel, forever alone. And Grace felt whole, she felt complete with her whole family now, not just 4 out of 5 members but now all 5 were here. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ (All credits will be in pt.2, this is already too long so-) Pt.2: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/885053438/
