Welcome to box ecosystem, a game where you can set up your very own ecosystems and watch them play out. Use the number keys to switch species and the m and f keys to switch genders. Plants do not have genders, so the buttons will be irrelevent to them. Use the mouse pointer to place creatures. Species: 1-plant 2-herbivore 3-omnivore 4-carnivore 5-pollinator Plants will slowly spread but they can spread more efficiantly with the help of pollinators. Herbivores eat plants Omnivores eat plants and herbivores Carnivores eat plants and polinators Polinators drink nectar from plants, and every two plants they drink from they go off somewhere else and create another plant.
V2: I changed the rules so now carnivores will eat pollinators even though omnivores will not. Not only does this finally give carnivores an advantage over omnivores, I believe it will also lead to more interesting ecosystems because now carnivores are good for plants if there are more herbivores than pollinators as they will get rid of them, but they are bad for plants if there are more pollinators then herbivores because they will take out pollinators instead. I also made plants regenerate without pollinators around so carnivores aren't just fatal to everything.
