WARNING: DO NOT PRESS SPACE OR THE ATTACK BUTTON WHEN IT'S YOUR OPPONENT'S TURN DURING BATTLES. IT WILL CAUSE YOU TO GET STUCK. (Originally on my previous account *WINK WINK*) In this game, you are a fox discovering the secrets of the crying forest. Some of the terrain was inspired by the grasslands of South Dakota. That's also why you can see ringnecked pheasants and certain kinds of wildflowers that grow in South Dakota CONTROLS: Walk: Left/right arrow keys or onscreen buttons. Call: C or first white button Sleep: Down Arrow Key Vocalize: V or second white button Attack: Space or paw button Command: Black button with green slash. Choose Music: Music Note button. Volume: Speaker Button. Change Main Music: Music Note Button. Run: Hold Z or click the roadrunner button. Commands: /learnmore: Ingame help /teleport: (Dev Only) Teleport to an area. NOTES: -You can be granted Dev status if you help with the game at all. Even indirectly, such as supplying certain codes or music. -Vocalize is currently only audial aesthetics and doesn't really affect important game mechanics. Sleeping and dreams are also only meant to be aesthetic. While sleeping does make time go by faster, time currently doesn't affect game mechanics. -Eating mice will increase your overall health in battle. -Note about pronouns: Currently, She/they and He/they function as identifying as female/male and not Demigirl/Demiboy. I may change this in the future. QUESTIONS PEOPLE MAY ASK: Q: Why isn't the radio music just part of the main music? A: Because the radio music doesn't fit the calm vibe the game is meant to give. Q: Why is teleporting Dev-only? A: Because it's technically cheating to just teleport everywhere. Q: What do achievements do? A: Some help you progress further through the game, while others are more for funsies. Q: Why are you calling baby foxes "kits" when they aren't cats? A: Besides "cubs" or "pups", baby foxes are also called "kits." Despite what they're referred to in Warriors, "kit" isn't really a common term for a baby cat. Q: Why do you use the term "Female" rather than "Vixen"? A: Because "female" is a more universal term that more people are familiar with. I also worry that the term for male foxes (dogs) may cause confusion as the term is a bit more "obscure" than just simply "male." Q: How do I get a mate/have kits? A: Currently only Pumpkin can become your mate. You must have a high enough relationship and have the correct gender identity for the fox to become your mate. You must be the correct biological gender to have kits with said fox. Q: What are Tall-walkers? A: That's what these foxes call "humans." Similar to how humans are referred to as "Two-legs" in Warriors and "Longpaws" in Survivors. Q: Why is the canon name Ruby? A: Because the player fox is red like a ruby. Just like how Pumpkin is called Pumpkin because she's orange like a pumpkin. Q: Why are some of the dreams so weird? A: Because dreams can be weird sometimes. Q: Can I use assets from the game? A: As long as you credit me, knock yourself out. No, put the comically large hammer down. Q: Can I remix? A: Yeah! Go ahead! However, I do ask that you change SOMETHING when remixing -even if it's just recoloring- unless you're trying to preserve an older version of the game.
