After the events of this past Friday, Facebook users have overlaid the French flag on their user pictures with the click of a button. Unfortunately, this option was only available on Facebook... until now! Now you too can "Francify" your Scratch user picture with the French tricolor, just like on Facebook! ::>To Francify a picture, first import a rectangular costume into the only sprite & rename the costume block in the custom block to the name of your costume. (^LOL costume in custom^) ::>Fill the stage with a color not used in your avatar, and set the four color sensors in the custom block definition to the same color. ::>Turn on turbo mode, click the green flag, then click the "Francify!" button. Then save a picture of the stage, crop it, and voila! You have a francified version of your picture. You can load it as your profile. ::>You can adjust the ghost level for a more opaque or clear overlay. ::>If the white middle part looks too washed out, or if the background is already white, you can opt out of the white part of the overlay by setting "do white?" to 0.
!!!!!IMPORTANT!!!!! ::>Picture MUST be rectangular -- no weird shapes allowed. Fill in any transparent sections with white or a desired background color -- one DIFFERENT from the stage background color. ::>Vector pictures aren't as well done. Use pixel graphics if possible. ::>Do NOT drag the picture around. Add it through the "import new costume" button, and leave it in the center. If you accidentally drag it for some reason or another, re-import it, just to be safe. Then just delete/rename the "User pic" costume and rename yours to say the same. ::>Thank you @st19_galla for your #PrayForParis project -- it inspired me to Francify my logo -- and let others do the same. Pray for Paris! ✝✞✟ <-- Wow, 5 different crosses on Unicode! ::> Paris photos by me, when I was in Europe this summer.
