( Click the flag, there's a short pmv :)) ) The end of an era, well and truly. Buttercuphaven's life has come to an end. ~ Late June, 2021, Buttercuphaven came into the world, as a tiny kit with a tiny jaw. Born in the final BeeBee litter. Immediately lost his mother. And he went on to live his life. He grew up with a loving father, his awesome siblings, and with the legacy of being the youngest of the huge BeeBee family. He met Tippedkit, who would later go on to become his best friend Tippedantler. And it was his sister Cinnamonsparrow who would later become his mate. He had such an amazing kithood and apprenticehood. Life was simple and easy back then. Buttercupkit became Buttercuppaw to Ruespring, his mentor, and Tippedantler's mother. She unfortunately passed away a moon before his warrior ceremony, which was heartbreaking for him. And then the tiny apprentice was named Buttercuphaven. For his calm and loving demeanor. Life for him was just play, learn and love. It was only much later that he got the first taste of horrible grief. His beloved littermate, Blissfate, and father died at similar times, leaving the young warrior parent-less. It was bitter, and rough. He didn't like it. But what was probably even worse for him was the death of Tippedantler. Murdered. By none other than his own nephew, Bashfulcrush. Murdered. And then things started to feel...different. Changes. So many changes. He mentored his nephew who inherited his jaw disability. His brother became deputy, and then leader. And then everything fell apart. The world crumbled around him as the territories fell to poison and rats. All of a sudden, he was homeless. The Great Journey. Separated from his siblings, all on different boats. But despite all of the horrible things that were happening, he still found happiness and friendship with his sister in law, Turtleflip, who kept him company on the boats. But that happiness was not to last. Something was eating away at him. He felt something horrible. He felt useless. And unwanted. Too many emotions overcame him. And so it wasn't a joyous moment when Buttercuphaven finally reunited with Bunnystar on a different boat. It was the first, and only time, he'd ever yelled. And it was at him. The world swayed with the rock of the boats, and it swayed because he had done the worst thing to him imaginable. He hurt his brother. When the clans arrived on the new territories, celebrate he did not. He stayed for a short time, isolating himself, but when ThunderClan moved on to their new territory, Buttercuphaven did not follow them. Instead, he hid and disappeared. This new place was unfamiliar to him. He had time to explore it on his own, but he spent most of the time hiding. But because he didn't know his way around, he unfortunately ran into a ThunderClan cat he didn't want to. Maleficentreign. He didn't want anyone to see him. And Maleficentreign saw him. A promise was made that day, one that meant that Buttercuphaven would have to do a favour for his bengal nephew in exchange for him to keep quiet about where the cream tabby was. Terrifying. He was terrified. A moon later he returned to ThunderClan, but things were always different. He now had the guilt hanging over him. He was trapped, trapped in a spider web that Maleficentreign had threaded, and there was nothing he could do. Bunnystar died not long after. It was the biggest heartbreak for him since Tippedantler. His beloved brother, who meant so, so much to him. But despite that, he and Cinnamonsparrow raised a litter of four together. His beautiful kits, Butterscotchjazz, Buttermilkperch, Esperancethrash and Treaclejest. Life slowed down for him, entering his elder moons. Things got easier. The weight of worry from his promise with Maleficentreign lightened, and he enjoyed being able to take it easy. He founded Thunder's Haven, a gift to the clan that he loved the most. ~ And that's led us to here. 3 years later. Buttercuphaven's death. The end of the immediate BeeBee kits. I've written out Butters' final moments in roleplay below, for your interest. So get ready to bid a farewell to Buttercuphaven.
Poised in his nest, Buttercuphaven's flank rose and fell with steady breaths. Overcome with melancholy, the cream coloured tom's eyes fluttered open and shut to the different little sounds he could hear. Then he felt a sharp pain. He couldn't quite pinpoint the cause. And then he realised, as he felt the light draining from him. He was dying. His time had come. A single tear rolled down his cheek. "StarC'an, you've finally co'e to ta'e me?" Buttercuphaven whispered. There was nothing for him left here. He had watched his friends and family die in front of his eyes, he'd left a legacy on his clan, and he was truly alone. No one would watch him die here in the elder's den. No one would be there to hold him. But that was okay. All those who mattered to him would see him soon, in StarClan. He had done his time, and he could finally move on.He wasn't sad at this realisation; in fact, it filled him with a warm bliss that he hadn't felt in many moons. A small sob shook his flank and a little chuckle escaped his mouth. He would see his friends and family soon. Bunnystar, Blissfate, Tippedantler, Bumblepride, Blastblizzard, Dustflurry, Turtleflip, and so many more. Before he exhaled his last breath, he uttered his last fleeting words. Fleeting as a memory, as a scent on a breeze, as his time alive in the grand scheme of the world. "Goo'bye, Thun'erC'an."
