Lake of Danger: Chapter 13 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lilypaw padded into the leader's den excited but also nervous about what Rainstar wanted to talk to her about. She pushed through the vines that hung in front of the den. Rainstar flicked his tail to a patch of moss, telling her to sit down. Lilypaw did so and straightened her back, trying to appear fierce. Rainstar sat down next to her. Lilypaw noticed the happiness that Rainstar usually had in his face, turning into a look of concern. Lilypaw's heart paced, thinking that she did something wrong or that he was going to kick her out of her clan. Rainstar cleared his throat. "There's something important I have to tell you." He began. Lilypaw nodded nervously. "I'm sure you have heard about Starclan from your clanmates. I say this because they have told me something about...you." He said. Lilypaw eyes widened, interested in what he was about to say. "Before you came into the clan, they told me about a cat, that they are important and I think that cat is you. They said something about a reunion saving the clan and that's the part i'm confused about." Lilypaw tilted her head. Rainstar stared at the ground in deep thought then shook his head. "I don't know what they mean by that but you are important and that's good to know." Lilypaw nodded, her eyes shining in surprise and astonishment. Lilypaw trotted out of the leader's den looking up at the sky in wonder. She stopped as she was about to bump into Glisterpaw. "Glisterpaw, guess what!" Lilypaw said, bouncing around like a kit. Glisterpaw watched her with a confused look on her face. "Rainstar said that Starclan said that /I'm/ important, for what I don't know but I feel pretty special." She said, puffing out her chest proudly. Glisterpaw rolled her eyes and sighed. Lilypaw dug her claws into the dirt. "Why are you always so angry?" She said annoyed. Glisterpaw slightly hissed. "I'm not angry..." She said. But her tone was fiery and mean. Lilypaw frowned. "Fine, whatever." She said before turning around and walking away. Glisterpaw groaned and left camp by herself. She padded up to the river and stared down at her reflection. She pounced on a fish but missed. She growled in frustration. She laid down, watching the fish swim away, hiding in rocks. Glisterpaw put her head on one paw and closed her eyes. But then she opened them again as she heard a twig snap. She got up and looked around nervously. She un-sheathed her claws, just in case of an attack. Suddenly a small white cat jumped down from a tree. It was Windpaw again. "Windpaw? What are you doing here?" She said. Windpaw jumped startled. "Um, what are /you/ doing here?" She said in her usual soft voice. Glisterpaw observed the small white she-cat. "I usually come here when I want to be alone and just think." She said, spectacle. Windpaw brightened. "Oh really? Me too!" Glisterpaw slightly tilted her head. Windpaw nodded. "Hey, I want to show you something cool!" She said. Glisterpaw narrowed her eyes, unsure if she should trust her. "But i'm not supposed to cross this border" She said. "No one is going to know. My clan is too busy plotting suspicious things that I do /not/ want to be a part of." Glistrepaw smirked and shrugged. "Sure." She followed Windpaw into the forest. She looked around at the territory she hadn't been in before and shuddered as it began to get darker. But soon enough, the trees disappeared and there was a small cliff. Glisterpaw padded next to Windpaw and stared down at awe as she saw a big field of twoleg homes. There were a few roads and monsters that rolled by. She watched as a plastic bag flew by like a bird. Windpaw purred. "Wow, this is cool!" Glisterpaw said in excitement. Windpaw nodded. "I didn't know there were twoleg territory this close to the forest." Windpaw nodded. "Luckily no twolegs come over here." Glisterpaw breathed in the weird and different scents coming from the area. Glisterpaw looked up in surprise as the sun began to set. "Maybe I should be heading back to my clan." She said. Windpaw frowned. "I think you can stay a little longer." "Hm...sure." Glisterpaw sat closer next to Windpaw, their tails slightly touching. "This is nice." Glisterpaw said, closing her eyes. "It's nice to escape from the drama that happens in the clans." Windpaw said, giggling. Glisterpaw nodded In agreement. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- End of chapter Random fun fact: Lake of Danger was originally going to be a comic then I lost motivation after drawing chapter 1 :')
