Welcome to my mini-series, Imelika and the World of Magic! I have another series currently in action, but I'm taking a break from it. The prologue of this series takes place in a strange world called "Tal Mugon Megin"(I used a mix of a bunch of languages to make this), or known as the "World of Magic". The story is in the credits. First: This is it! Previous: There isn't one! Next: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/888450526 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A woman ran. Behind her, hundreds of warriors gave chase, flames flickering on their heads, mighty fireballs and spears clutched within strong, flaming hands. "Please!" The woman cried. She ran on top of the river, her feet pressing against the water as if it was solid. Her blue hair trickled back, flowing like waves in the ocean. "Please stop! I didn't do anything!" She looked over her shoulder, tears running down her face. "You made contact with those forbidden to see our kind." The leader of the flaming warriors boomed. He ran so fast his feet didn't seem to touch the ground. "I had to! You don't understand!" The woman cried. "You broke the law. The punishment is eternal confinement, if you're lucky." The leader boomed. "Kai, please-" The woman was cut off as every warrior stuck the ground with flaming fists. A wall of fire erupted around the woman. "You abandoned your kind, Luira. For a HUMAN." As Kai spoke, the wall of fire grew closer and closer. Luira clutched a blanket-wrapped bundle in her arms, whispering sweet phrases to it. "He-he was so-I had to! Ple-" "And you gave birth to his CHILD." Kai cut her off, pointing to the bundle Luira was carrying. The blankets parted a little bit, and a face popped out, eyes closed sleepily. "I do not want to hurt you, Luira." Kai said. "remember when we were young and naive? The fun we used to have was unlike nothing else. I have a fondness in my heart for you." He glared at the child wrapped in blankets. "I will let you go free and unharmed, if you get rid of that...thing. A child of waterblood and plainblood cannot survive in this world anyway. You would be doing it a favor by ending its suffering early." Luira gasped in shock. "Never!" She cried. "I don't care what you were like all of those years ago, but I will never listen to you! Kill me, but spare my child!" She clutched her baby, backing away from Kai. Kai flicked his wrist. "Capture the woman. Kill the infant." He ordered. Warriors raced to Luira, spears raised, ready to hit their target. Luira shrieked, placing her baby down and raising her hands at the warriors. Massive waves from the rive rained down on them, extinguishing their flames and throwing them into the distance. As water splashed onto the wall of fire, it vanished with a puff of smoke. Kai laughed. "Your attempts are pitiful. Though your power is strong, mine is stronger. You will be captured, and your child will die." He raised his hands and the hundreds of warriors behind him raised their spears. Luira faced them bravely, then began gathering water above her until a giant shimmering orb of liquid floated over her head. "I know you are stronger then me. But even you do not have the kindness to make a big enough sacrifice to use the most powerful spell of all." Luira said, then began to chant. Her words were soft and flowy, filling the air as if they were solid. The orb of water above her began to glow, swirling. "You-you wouldn't..." Kai gasped. "You know what that takes! Your power... you can't. STOP HER!" He roared. His warriors, afraid to get close, shot bolts of fie at Luira. The fire was absorbed by the orb, joining the concoction. "Fire burns, air roars. Earth towers, water flows." Luira chanted. "Birds fly, animals run. Lightning flashes, nature grows." The blue in her hair leaked into the orb, leaving her hair pure white. the water around her joined the orb as well, leaving her powerless. "Luira, please. Don't do this. We could have been so happy together." Kai begged. "Plain had none, plain has all. They will thrive, as I will fall." Luira chanted, straining to continue. "Plain had none, plain has all. They will thrive, as I will fall. Plain had none, plain has all. They will thrive, as I will fall. Plain had none, plain has all. They will thrive, as I will fall." She stopped chanting as the water above her transformed into a swirling portal. Luira fell has the last of her magic drained out of her. The infant began to float, before being sucked into the portal. It disappeared in a flash, leaving Luira tired and powerless on the ground. "Pick her up and bring her to the dungeons!" Kai ordered. As his warriors grabbed Luira, he stared in horror at the distance. "It has escaped." He muttered. "The prophecy has come true. I have to kill that child, or else everything I know and love will be destroyed."
