~Chapter Two~ First Full Day at Hogwarts Madeline woke up to see morning sunlight shining through the window, she layed in bed for a couple minutes until she was fully awake. Then she got up to get ready for the day. After she got dressed and washed up, she headed down the stairs into the common room. "Hey, sleepy-head! You finally woke up!" Laughed Ginny. "Good morning." Madeline yawned. "Hi! I've been wanting to meet you girls! I'm Sarah Keith, this is also my first year." Madeline and Ginny turned around to see a brown-haired, pretty looking girl. "Hey! Nice to meet you! I'm Madeline." "And I'm Ginny!" The three girls walked down with the other Gryffindors to breakfast. After breakfast was over Madeline and the other first-years went to Defense Against the Dark Arts class. "Doesn't the name of our first class seem spooky to you?" Sarah asked Ginny and Madeline. "Not for me. My older brothers have told my spookier things." Ginny shivered at the thought. "I think it does sound a little spooky." Madeline admitted. "I haven't really thought about it." As they entered the D.A.D.A classroom, Madeline saw Slytherins and Gryffindors first-years getting settled in chairs around a long table. Ginny and Sarah found two seats but Madeline had only one option, there was one seat between a Gryffindor boy and a Slytherin boy. As she sat down, the slytherin boy said, "Oh, your a Weasley." "Is there anything wrong with that?" Madeline asked. "I guess not. By the way, my name is Oliver Whistle." He held out his hand. "Madeline." She shook Oliver's hand. "Ladies, and Gentlemen. Please pay attention." A man appeared from a door in the back of the room. "My name is Gilderoy Lockhart and I am pleased to be your Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher..." After Madeline's first class was over, she, Ginny and Sarah gathered up their books and started to leave when Oliver Whistle called to Madeline. "Hey! Can I talk to you?" "You girls can go on without me, I'll be right with you." Madeline said to the girls. So they started walking again. Oliver walked up to Madeline and said, "I would like to get to know you more, would you like to study together sometime?" "Uh-h, sure. Maybe sometime." Madeline replied. "Look, I really got to go. I'll see you around." And she left Oliver standing there. When Madeline caught up with Ginny and Sarah, they looked curious. "What did that boy want? And what is his name?" "And where did you meet him?" "Ok, ok. No need to ask so many questions. His name is Oliver Whistle and I sat next to him during class. That's all." Ginny and Sarah didn't seem satisfied with her answer. "Oh well, we'd better get to our next class." Said Ginny.
