The Miata is constructed of lightweight aluminum, so it weighs a light 2,160 pounds. Under the hood, the MX-5 is powered by a 1.6 liter naturally-aspirated inline-four that produces 116 horsepower. Due to its cute dimensions, the Miata qualifies for Japan's compact car tax bracket.
