Evermoon Twinkle--Chapter 3 --- Sayers screamed in pain. Everything went black and Moon passed out...she awoke hours later lying in a comfy bed in the hospital wing, eyes glowing green. She touched her gum and her stomach churned as she felt the sharp fangs had grown bigger. "What happened to me?!" She demanded of a busy Madam Perrywinkle, trying to scoff. Madam Perrywinkle was quivering and staying far away from Moon. "Y-You turned into a b-basilisk.." she stuttered. Moon gasped behind her hand. First fangs, and now a basilisk? She grinned. This was great. Very helpful indeed. She glanced to her right and saw Sayers lying on a cot as well, circular glasses askew, black hair tangled, and dark-red bandages covering a deep gash in her arm. Moon laughed. She even hurt a teacher...now this was just plain wonderful. A couple of nights later, Moon had fully recovered and was back to school. She had threatened a quivering Madam Perrywinkle not to tell anybody about her transformation or else she would bite Perrywinkle as well. The element of surprise was great for scaring students, as well as biting them. However, Sayers still lay unconscious in the Hospital Wing; students were starting to get worried as she didn't show up to Astronomy class. This meant that Moon was free to pester anybody who wandered freely around the halls with her sharp fangs and horrible attitude. One ordinary day, Moon was strutting through the halls as usual, when a handsome, older boy with dark-brown hair walked nervously up to her, even though she was much smaller than him. Moon instantly recognized this student as Cedric Diggory, a popular Hufflepuff who Moon despised. "Uhm.." He said, shaking slightly at the sight of her fangs, but still confident. "Would...Would you go to the Yule Ball with me?" Moon gasped behind her hand. She had forgotten that the Yule Ball was just a couple of days away. But Moon had a feeling that Diggory was just trying to get information out of her, and find out whether she was really dangerous or not. Even though it was risky, she wanted to see where this was going. Publicly humiliating the most popular boy at Hogwarts sounded awesome, so she took the chance. "Sure, fine." She said, smiling mischievously. Cedric looked slightly dumbstruck and slightly relieved, but nodded and walked away. Moon laughed. This was going to be fun. ---
