Story: Slide 1. After years of continuous wars, economical declines and recessions, civil unrest was at an all time high. This and the fact the current leader refused to do anything about well, anything, caused a massive tear in the nation. Both figuratively and literally, since there was an earthquake that caused a small fault in some places. One side wanted to end the war so the economy could recover and the other side wanted to continue the war so they could win and make the tophats pay up. Slide 2. This tear and all the other bad stuff grew so big, some regions wanted to leave. And because the government was really weak, they could not do anything to stop them. Starting with Midland, more and more regions left. Slide 3. Seeing what Midland did, Norland and Maton quickly left as well, forcing The Oak Tree to make Riverton the capital. Slide 4. Caston decided to hop on the trend and left, forcing The Oak Tree to move capitals yet again to Sauton. Slide 5. Also eager to go, Ospenland and Vorik left, Forcing The Oak Tree to leave the war and go re-invade their country. Slide 6. Not only did they miserably fail to take back their land, the breakaway regions pushed them back. Now with war fees to pay and being invaded, the government eventually collapsed. After this the breakaway regions battled each other for control, this eventually escalated into nuclear war, turning the once thriving Oak Tree into a near deserted wasteland. The few remaining survivors fled to nearby countries, leaving The Oak Tree an ancient ruin left in the past. A former great nation turned into a cautionary tale in history books about how greed, power, and anger can destroy almost anything, no matter how big.
