Welcome to my mini-series, Imelika and the World of Magic! I have another series currently in action, but I'm taking a break from it. The(I think it's way too short even though it probably isn't) second chapter takes place in the house of our main character. The story is in the credits. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~No more talking about who I am. It's time to talk about what I am... doing. You thought I would say 'what I am', didn't you? Well, even I don't know the answer to that. I felt a sudden rush of cold. Surprised, I jumped and fell off my bed. Aunt Lily stood over me, holding up my blanket. "Aunt Lily... you said you wouldn't do that anymore." I groaned. "Sometimes, pulling your blanket off of your bed is the best way to wake you up, Imelika." Lily said, laying my blanket back onto my bed. "Especially on the first day of school after winter break." "Can't we get an alarm clock?"I muttered, standing up. Knowing that Lily typically wouldn't answer that, I shuffled like a zombie to the bathroom to get ready for school. That's how my mornings usually go. I thought this was how my days usually go too, but I was wrong. Very, very wrong. As I half shambled, half slipped down the stairs, Aunt Lily walked right in front of me, holding a blond wig. "Your new wig." She said, practically tossing it at me. I caught it in my left hand, running my other hand its hair. "I thought I was going to be wearing the brown one I was using before winter break started." I complained. My old wig had brown, straight hair, and I had dyed the ends of it blue. I liked it, but I didn't really like the new one. It was pretty, but it had blond, very curly hair and bangs that dangled right over my eyebrows. My real hair was straight, not curly, and I didn't have bangs. "Your old one is dirty. This new one is clean and pretty." Lily said. "My old one looks more like I do." I argued. The new wig didn't look that bad, but if I was going to hide part of myself, I was going to want to hide it under something that still looked like myself. "Plus, what would happen if I came to school with blond, curly hair after having brown, straight hair two weeks ago?" "Fine. You can wear your old wig." Lily acted like she was only doing it because of the logical argument, but I knew that she wanted me to be happy. She's not an "evil stepmother" or "abusive aunt". She's caring and nice, though she'll never truly replace a mother. Wearing the first things I pulled out of my dresser, I successfully and accidentally managed to put more food on my clothes then in my mouth. Aunt Lily gave me way too many paper towels, but overall, I got to school looking like the average thirteen-year-old who woke up at 6:00 and also fell asleep at 6:00. "Have fun at school!" Lily called as she drove away. "Yeah, right." I muttered. I thought today was going to be a usual school day. Let's just say... it was worse. So. Much. Worse.
