Cherri feels faer stomach plummet when it sees Maggie's eyes are white. "Mags, don't--" When Maggie begins to fall, Cherri curses, and swoops to catch her. Slayde watches, hovering closer with a slightly worried expression on their face. "What was that?" She demands. "Ugh, I already did it once this morning," Maggie murmurs when she feels Cherri catch her. She rubs her face with a talon. "You /know/ you're not supposed to do it often!" Cherri berates her, a worried expression on faer face, as it sets Maggie on the ground. Slayde follows, landing a little ways away from the two of them. "Do what?" they ask. "I know, I know, water," Maggie says, feeling her tail start to ghost. "Yes. Water." Cherri orders. "Where is it? You know you need to keep some on you at all times." Slayde scowls. "What in the world is going on? And what is happening to her tail?" "I think I dropped it when I was flying with... them, back here," Maggie pauses, making sure not to say Slayde's name. "Can I have some of yours?" Her tail fades more. It creeps up to her back legs. Cherri scowls at Maggie, but hands over her water pouch. "You need to keep better track of your belongings." Maggie's tail is entirely gone. She drinks the water and the fading stops. She drinks more and she starts to reappear and breathe normally. Maggie keeps her eyes closed. Her tail finishes reappearing. She opens her eyes. Maggie grabs a leaf and hands Cherri her pouch back. She walks over to a water fountain and fills the leaf with water. She grabs a vine and ties it shut. She puts it on like a purse. "There, happy?" She asks, looking at Cherri. "Ish." Cherri says, still with a slight frown. "Anyone care to clue me into whatever just happened there? I still don't even know your names, for Pyrrhia's sake, and already there's all sorts of junk happening." Slayde interrupts, glaring at them both. "Great, more explaining," Maggie mutters. "We'll tell you if you can keep a secret. Like we are the only ones who know this." "I'm already keeping your literal existence a secret. I think I can manage one more." Maggie smiles a little. "I don't know if you can handle this one. I can read minds. And see the future. And go back in time." "So, some NightWing genes, perhaps. Not sure where the back in time thing came from though. Is that what you were trying to do? To erase where you said my name? Cause if so, it didn't exactly work. Sorry not sorry. I still want an answer to that." Slayde deduces, not seeming fazed in the slightest. "Can you control whose mind you read? Or when you see the future?" "No NightWing genes. I-I don't know. I am the ONLY one who can do it. I found out your name from reading your mind. Erm. No. Just a lot of noise. Not really. I was born and I wouldn't stop crying. They left me. Cherri was still in the egg. I felt a connection to Cherri before they was born. I talked to them through their mind. We became siblings before they were born. I protected her. I never told her why our parents left. I supported Cherri when they told me they weren't a girl. I just felt your mind calling to me. Like Cherri's did. I almost transferred. I never spoke out loud to you. You just heard me through your mind. I did speak in front of others. But. I don't normally talk to anyone other than Cherri, so I'm not used to talking." "Wow. That's a lot. But seriously? You were reading my mind the whole time? Can you ever not do it? Because I don't think Glory would appreciate having her mind read. Even if she doesn't know it's being read. Probably especially if she doesn't know it's being read." Slayde says. "Erm, no I can't I don't know how. No one can teach me how to. I can focus my mind on other things though. Ow..." Maggie whispers the last word a little. She flinches a little. She flinches again. "Stop thinking so much! It hurts! Fast and quick thoughts are like daggers," She says. Her mouth doesn't move. "Yes, I am transfering. It's easier. I'm not used to talking and it hurts my throat," She transfers again. Slayde rolls her eyes. “I can’t exactly control my thoughts, y’know.” "Actually I taught Cherri how to. Just imagine a little waterfall. Calm and relaxing, the water cascading into a little pool. Fish swimming and dancing in the water, a magical place of calm and wonder. Now your thoughts are calm," Maggie transfers. Slayde wrinkles her nose. “Fish are disgusting.” Maggie sighs. "Yes I agree. All meat is disgusting. But have you ever seen them in the water?" She transfers, looking exasperated. “I have, actually. They look slimy.” "Follow me!" Maggie transfers to both Slayde and Cherri's minds. “I do believe we were supposed to be following me, for your ‘day as a RainWing’ thing.” Slayde says pointedly. Daggers go shooting through Slayde's mind. "You coming or not! I'm showing you somewhere. The farther away I get, the worse the daggers get!" Maggie transfers. "We can do that right after!" She transfers again before Slayde can even form the words to continue.
