~Backstory~ The last thing Celestia remembers is seeing her family leave her. They scattered in different directions as she cried out helplessly. Suddenly she was picked up and everything went black. "She is too young to come here!" A soft voice exclaimed. "Yes I agree but we can't alter what happened can we... I wish we sent a guardian dog down sooner." A deep voice rumbled. Celestia started opening her eyes and saw a white world of wonder. "W-where am I? Mom?!" She looked around, shaking. "You poor thing." The soft voice said. With a whoosh 2 dogs appeared. Both of them looked very similar. One was a She-dog and the other was a Tom. They both had black and white patches everywhere. "W-who are you!?" Celestia asked as she got closer to the ground. "Hello little Celestia. I know this seems very scary but we mean you no harm. My name is Ariel and this is my mate Rafael. We are the 2 head commanding angels. We protect all those who need it the most but however we couldn't protect you." Ariel looked at her paws and shuffled side to side. Suddenly Rafael's eyes began to glow. "Raf? What's going on?" Ariel asked him with fear in her eyes. Celestia stood up and looked into Rafael's eyes. Suddenly thunder clashed and Rafael started to speak. "A courageous dog with the heart will challenge a deadly enemy that threats anyone in the living realm and in the above realm." Suddenly a flash of light shone upon Celestia and then disappeared. Rafael collapsed onto the ground shaking his fur. "What in the stars just happened?" He asked Ariel. Ariel looked at him and then to Celestia. "I think we have a prophecy on our hands." Ariel helped Raf up and whispered the prophecy to him. His eyes filled up with hope. "I guess that's why we couldn't protect her." Raf said. Ariel nodded excitedly. Raf's expression had quickly dimmed as it had brightened. "Ariel, she's only a pup! How is she suppose to defeat... You know who." Ariel's faced lost it's brightness too as he said this. They looked at Celestia with puzzled faces. "The prophecies never lie and they help the heroes during their quest. They wouldn't stop now." A couple months past and Celestia became one of the greatest fighters in the above realm. One day Ariel and Raf came up to her. "Celestia, me and Ariel have watched you since the day you came here and we are proud of you. Before you can complete the prophecy you need to know about your enemy. He is..." Raf stopped. Ariel nuzzled him gently before finishing for him, "He is our father. He is the king of the dark dogs. He is strong but you are stronger." Celestia nodded. "I know I'm strong when I'm with you two!" She exclaimed. Ariel's eyes showed happiness and a little bit of sadness. "We can't accompany you on this mission Celestia. As much as we want to, we can't." Ariel said. Raf nodded. "The thought of him is already messing with us. We don't know what he could try if we come. We will send some troops with you though." Raf looked at Celestia. Celestia sighed. "Alright." She looked at the horizon and then back at Raf and Ariel. She nuzzled them before flying off to fight the king. "Rafael she isn't back yet. We have to go find her!" Ariel said, pacing back and forth. Raf nuzzled Ariel. Suddenly he saw a group of dogs. "They're back!" He exclaimed. Both Ariel and Raf flew to the group swiftly. They flew past all of the dogs but didn't see Celestia. Raf and Ariel landed near a black dog. "Sarge, where is Celestia?" Raf asked. Sarge frowned. "She was badly wounded but the field medical team said she'd be ok." Sarge looked toward the middle of the group. "Ahh look here she comes now." Sarge stepped back to let Ariel and Raf see Celestia. They both rushed to her and nuzzled her. "Celestia, you scared us." Ariel said. They stepped back to give her some space. "Did you think a prophecy wouldn't help a dog when they needed help?" Celestia asked. They all smiled. Ariel smiled at Raf. She mouthed "It's time!" "What's going on?" Celestia asked. Raf smiled at her. "We had a conversation while you were gone. We always wanted to have a pup but were unable to." Raf looked at Ariel. "We decided why don't we foster you? If you'd like." Ariel said. Celestia smiled and nuzzled them again. "I'd love that. Thank you mom and dad." ~That is the end of this story~
