The 2F25 can be used for troop transport as well as medical support and cargo transport. It had decent payload with a high speed and great overall performance compared to larger transports, which allowed it to transport cargo faster and shorten response time. It also don't require an extremely long runway or well paved runways so it can help in rural areas or military bases that just got ready. The 2F25 is used in conjunction with the previous 2F40 (KC-130) to carry cargo, but it do not have the ability to refuel aircrafts, unlike the KC-130.
