Hmmm... I guess we'll start at the beginning of the story, one that took place very long ago. There once was a great flood that devastated the clans. Many of the clans had migrated elsewhere till the storm settled. However, one of the clans had become split up during the migration. One side of the clans had eventually been able to migrate back and stayed true to their nature. This wasn't the case for the other side though. They had become torn from their clan and many argued to go back but eventually it was decided that they would keep to themselves and identify as something else, The Flock. (!!!) The Flock had originally consisted of 26 cats. Numbers had slowly gone up and down over the moons and new practices formed. The land dried up and their natural resources wouldn't grow back. This disaster had once again torn the clan and killed many before the clan had suffered enough. As cats died, many rains had coincidentally occurred just after. These rains brought hope to the flock. They started killing any wandering cats that had entered their territory and one again a storm would fall. (!!!) As their separated clan settled back down in a new spot, many were sent off to find their lost brethren. These cats that were sent off were never seen again. Those unfortunate cats that had come across the Flock were quickly killed. Quite soon, the separated clan had stopped sending their cats as many had gone missing after setting out to find their brethren. It was believed that a certain cave held the path to Starclan and that they needed to sacrifice these cats to go to Starclan. Over many, many moons, these beliefs had slowly gone away but the killing didn't stop. As their offspring grew up to the age of 2 moons, they would be given the name of a bird. At the age of 9 moons, they were to kill another cat in order to truly join the flock and be given the right to join Starclan. Eventually a terrible sickness plagued the Flock and nearly everyone died. The cats that survived escaped to the wilds on their own and didn't look back.
