“The trickster, the riddler, the keeper of balance, he of the many faces who finds life in death and who fears no evil; he who walks through hidden doors.” You gaze into the stunningly gorgeous eyes of the lovely, seemingly innocent cat in front of you. Common sense dictates that letting this kit in on your secret is probably not a good idea, but you're lost in those gorgeous eyes. How could such a charming cat possibly betray your trust? Oh, you fool. You poor, gullible fool. I suppose it's not your fault. More mighty than you have fallen into this cat's trap. Amitymuse's charismatic essence is nearly irresistible - which is why this cat is more dangerous than any wild beast you may encounter in the forest. Yes, a wild beast could maul you, but could a wild beast silkily persuade every last secret out of you before doing a one-eighty and selling them off to the highest bidder? No. I thought not. Amitymuse is every bit the social butterfly. Want to go kit-watching? Spot Amitymuse in her natural habitat: the center of attention, surrounded by company. Always ambitiously looking to be the best cat she can be, the one everycat looks up to, Amitymuse is prone to telling small falsehoods - or as she would call them, “bent untruths.” This adventurous cat is a natural-born storyteller. Even her most boring doings can turn into a dramatic escapade when Amitymuse describes them - not that anything she does is ever boring. A daringly courageous cat who'd jump headfirst into a situation with what many have dubbed a “fool's courage,” Amitymuse is the first into a fray and the last to leave it. With impulsivity to match that of a lightning bolt (and a lightning-quick mind to match!) Amitymuse is quick to spot opportunities but slow to consider the consequences. Of course, she thinks of them, no clever cat wouldn't, but she's entirely confident in her abilities and thus disregards any possible consequences of her actions. After all, she's slippery enough to weasel her way out of problems or smooth-talk her way out of any tedious situation. Though Amitymuse's world seems like sunshine and rainbows mixed with a deviously deceptive hint of a rippling mirage, its foundations are fragile. This cunning trickster is so accustomed to fooling other cats that she can fool herself - and that scares her more than the idea of death. The rapidly shifting masks that she wears to interact with other cats can change on a whim, depending on what she wants to get out of the situation, and throughout her life, it would escalate to the point that she would be unsure of her original feelings: was she an original being or simply a product of a demanding world, with no traits to honestly call her own? The lies that Amitymuse tells only serve to dig her deeper into the self-deprecating spiral, and she would anxiously fear that revealing her true passions and opinions would shatter the illusion she battles to maintain. Better to say you agree with everyone and simply act on your true opinions behind their backs. After all, what cat would ever want to be in Amitymuse's presence again if they knew how deeply she had betrayed them by hiding her true self? If they knew that they were simply interacting with a character of Amitymuse's own inventions, would they stay by her side? Amitymuse knows they would, without a doubt, turn tail and abandon her if she wasn't the heroic, smooth-talking, charismatic presence she built herself up to be. Dark things lurk under the surface of these idyllic waters, and only StarClan knows what havoc they will wreak on the peaceful world of ShadowClan once they come to light. Amitymuse is only able to confide her true feelings to those she wholeheartedly trusts, and though she surrounds herself with friends, many will never reach her inner circle. Keep trying, though! Maybe you'll make it there in three lifetimes.
If Amitymuse doesn't agree with an order, you can be wearily sure she will see nothing wrong with bending and/or breaking the rules to do what she sees fit. This cat is incredibly stubborn - it's like trying to tackle a mountain. Try as you might, there's no budging Amitymuse once she's made her mind up. Though she is a hard worker and will plug determinedly away at a task she approves of, give her a task she doesn't feel is in her best interests and you might as well be trying to teach a mouse to fly. This irresponsibility might make her seem untrustworthy if it weren't for the fact that her crafty cleverness lulls other cats into a false sense of trust. Oh, she could earn it, but who knows whether she'll keep it? Amitymuse, for all her headstrong faults, is a cheerful, optimistic cat. Her snarky, sarcastic sense of humor, combined with the dark jokes she finds funny, can give the opposite impression, but overall Amitymuse would be that cat in the friend group who is always being positive. Painfully so. Now that I come to think of it, she probably does it to bother you. But wondering never caught any prey. Being a beautifully devious and pretentious furball, Amitymuse is quite the bossy cat. Her strongly competitive tendencies always have her battling for leadership, whether it's in her friend group or eventually within her Clan. While she is not ruthless, being an empathetic cat, there's a big difference between being blind to other cats' emotions and not factoring in their emotions. The difference between a dictator and a king isn't how much they sense, but how much they ignore. Were you ever lucky enough to be graced with Amitymuse's presence, I'd offer a few words of advice. 1) You'd be better off trusting a viper not to bite you than trusting Amitymuse to listen to you. 2) Take all of her words with a grain of salt, and don't get drawn into the clever spiderwebs of her arguments. 3) While you can't trust her to keep a secret, you can trust her to get you safely through a battle or die trying. 4) When it comes to “boss, or be bossed,” you can be sure Amitymuse will be doing the bossing. 5) You're probably going to lose any argument you have with her. Not because you're wrong, but because she is incredibly persuasive and can shut down an argument faster than you can flick your tail. Don't even try. Finally, a liability disclaimer: (though, really, this should have come first) Under no circumstances shall my affiliates, partners, friends, or I be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages arising out of or in connection with interaction with Amitymuse, whether or not the damages were foreseeable, and whether or not you were advised of the possibility of such damages. Step carefully! You have been warned.
